Blake Purdue (Technical Engineer), Pete Stevens (Lead Data Analyst) and the RAM recently had the opportunity to visit James Hargest College as part of Technology Week, giving students a firsthand look at hydrogen dual-fuel technology and the exciting opportunities emerging right here in Southland.

The visit was a chance to showcase how innovation is helping shape the future of transport and emissions reduction, while highlighting some of the career pathways available in the industry.

We're always happy to support opportunities that connect young people with real-world technology and the people behind it. Judging by the questions from the students, the future is in good hands!

What does the future of transport look like? The Southland Chamber of Commerce got a firsthand look during a recent visit to the temporary Christchurch hydrogen refuelling facility.

Scott Donnelly (New Energy & Emissions Reduction Lead) from TR Group spoke about the Global Bus Ventures (GBV) fuel cell truck, which operates on 100% hydrogen. Kim Hill (Change Fuel Technologies Manager) discussed the refuelling options and operation of Change Fuel Technologies’ hydrogen dual-fuel trucks.

Our hydrogen dual-fuel concrete truck was on display at the Hydrogen Hui, parked alongside the impressive Global Bus Ventures Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV).

Scott O’Donnell (HWR Director) shared HWR's low-emissions journey, talking through where we've come from, what we've learned, and where we're heading next.

It was great to be part of the 2026 Hydrogen Hui alongside other organisations focused on the future of energy and transport.

We unveiled the Volvo FH16 780hp prime mover converted for Pacific Fuel Solutions at TruckShow X back in May, showcasing a practical dual-fuel hydrogen solution for the future of transport in Australia.

Our Dodge Ram, retrofitted with dual fuel technology, is out and about helping promote SHIFT. And we will be there too.

We had a great time at Truck Show X!

Gareth was up on stage as part of the BORN H2 RUN session, sharing insights on where hydrogen is heading and what it means for real-world fleet deployment.

Bringing together leaders from across the hydrogen space, the session focused on the latest developments in hydrogen fuel cell trucks, and hydrogen technology, including local deployments in major Australian fleets. It’s an exciting time, and conversations like this are helping move the industry forward.

Proud to be part of the line-up alongside others driving change in this space and even prouder to be contributing to the future of low-emissions heavy transport.

Introducing the latest hydrogen conversion, a new Volvo FH16 780hp prime mover ready to work for Pacific Fuel Solutions.

We will be showcasing this truck at Truck Show X next week in the Hunter Valley, for those that have registered for a drive we look forward to meeting you, and if not please come meet Gareth Wishart, Craig and Murray from the Change team to learn more.
