CLASS 5 DRIVER JOB OPPORTUNITY

Southern Logistics is a family owned and operated business based in Invercargill. We are seeking a confident class 5 driver with minimum 2 years’ experience.

This position will be operating a late model Freightliner argosy fitted with an automatic transmission 9-axle truck and trailer unit carting wastewater. And occasionally jumping in some of our other trucks to service other runs such as local freight run , molasses deliveries, tallow cartage , bulk tipper cartage.

The days of work will be Monday to Friday and the odd Saturday in the season.
This position will require staying away overnight the odd time.

You must have:
Full class 5 truck and trailer experience
Minimum 2 years’ class 5 experience
road ranger gearbox experience is a bonus as most of our gear is fitted with 18 speed transmissions
Solid work ethic with a positive attitude
Have a strong focus for our client needs
The ability to keep gear clean and tidy without supervision
Be committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety practices
Knowledge of truck prestart checks
Excellent time management skills
D/G endorsement is preferred but not essential
