A great morning spent in the bay with a great family celebrating Huxley"s 10th Birthday! Fishing is still tough but we bagged a few nice snappers, a gurnard and caught lots of spiney dogs.

Well its been a tough few days fishing this week. All these small earthquakes around the country do not help the fishing ine little bit! Today's trip was certainly better than yesterday, due to the two earthquakes yesterday. Todays bite was slow but at least they were biting today.

Phew today's fishing was tough!!! Conditions were stunning, even with a big swell. The company was amazing! What started as a coastal trip ended up being an 8 hour day but conditions and the company were so good and the fishing was so not, that we had to go the extra mile to get what we could.
We started out 'fishing', then after several moves we progressed to 'catching', (be it scorpion fish) and after another move and plenty of persistence and patience we finally progressed to the 'keeping' stage of the day.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on board today, we hope you all enjoyed your day.

Phew she was a rough one today! The forecasts all said the day would start off a bit rough and then settle throughout the morning, but it did not settle.
The fishing was on and off all day, but when it was on it was great. Some nice snaps, tarakihi and a nice big blue cod along with some lovely fat kahawai.
Thank you to Bruce and crew for joining us today and for roughing it out with us. A big thanks to Paul for helping us out these last two days, having spent the week in bed with colds we definitely needed the extra hands on board and the great energy you always bring.

Another fantastic Harbour-Take a Kid Fishing trip this afternoon. So many kahawai! Kids had fun trolling and bottom fishing. We moved once we had nearly a bin full hoping to find some snapper but we just found spiney dogs 🙄 oh well thats fishing. Thank you everyone who joined us on this afternoons trip we hope you all had as much fun as we did.

An awesome morning coastal trip today. A couple of the lads spotted what we think was an orca on the way out, always exciting. First and only stop was great, not the fastest fishing but man what came up was quality.
Two kingi, some nice big snapper, big gurnard, fat kahawai and a few tarakihi. Excellent, excellent company today, as always, lots of great chats and laughs. An absolute bonus was a huge nursery pod of dolphins just as we went past Young Nicks, stunning.
