A viewing platform constructed using shipping containers gave VIP guests a next level experience at craft beer, music and food festival, Beast of a Feast.

United Rentals’ Business Development Manager Jessica Cramb worked closely with Little Big Events to deliver a safe and fun solution for the annual Tauranga event.

Container platforms and barriers were secured on top of two 20-foot containers to create the deck with views across the festival site.

It’s been a busy summer festival season for United Rentals, with specialist event rental products in hot demand - ranging from refrigeration containers providing on-site cold storage to portable event kiosks as ticket booths and pop-up retail outlets!

There’s nothing better than mucking in for a great cause like Save the Kiwi NZ. It’s even better when one of your products can help the team get on with the valuable work they do to ensure the future of this iconic bird.

As part of United Rentals’ community partnership with Save the Kiwi, we supply this 20-foot storage container at Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari in Waikato.

During translocation season, in the first half of the year, the mountain comes alive with the mustering of kiwi who are given health checks before being transported to their new homes in the wild.

The container is used as a safe, secure and weather tight storage facility for equipment used during translocation, including kiwi boxes, which are cleaned, dried, and then kept dry until next season.

This year, kiwi were translocated to areas in Taranaki, Tongariro, Rangataua, and Wellington.

With its narrow footprint and stacking capability, this container set up was a snug but efficient fit on a tight inner-city Auckland construction site.

The double stack, made up of two stacked fully plumbed 20-foot ablution containers, maximises space on site and provides safe and secure site facilities for the Kalmar Construction team.

Business Development Manager Andre Dowman says United Rentals container products, which also include changing rooms and hoardings, fit together to meet a customer’s specific worksite needs.

“Containers are ideal for sites with restrictive space because they can be stacked to make the most of a slim site footprint,” he says.

A world-class production calls for world-class site solutions!

For the recent production of Phantom of the Opera with Opera Australia, our mobile storage team delivered a bespoke solution to support the cast, crew, and audience behind the scenes on Sydney Harbour.

Our team supplied and installed 49 containers, including hoardings, kiosks, site offices, change rooms, first aid rooms, toilets, and platforms, helping keep operations running smoothly throughout the production.
