This classic 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 came to us with a rotten and completely failed transom — the structure was compromised, and the boat was no longer safe to use.

🚐✨ Uruuruwhenua Hauora Health Bus Revamp ✨🚐

We’re excited to share the transformation of the Uruuruwhenua Hauora Central Health Bus – refreshed, revamped, and ready to continue supporting whānau across the Central Lakes region!

As a kaupapa Māori health provider, it was incredibly important to the Uruuruwhenua team that the vehicle was not only functional and meet health and safety standards but also felt welcoming and comfortable for both their team and the whānau they serve.

This revamp was about more than just upgrades – it was about manaakitanga and creating a space that reflects their holistic approach to wellbeing.

🔧 What this project involved:
• Removal of the factory cabinetry and bedding at the rear of the bus
• Restructuring and fitting of new finishing panel surfaces to be practical for medical use but also visually calming
• Ensure that all air-conditioning and technical components were safely enclosed
• Making the rear floor area that was safe, functional, and able to lift for table/chair storage during transit

🦖 Wānaka Dinosaur Slide Refurbishment 🦖

We recently had the awesome opportunity to work with Queenstown Lakes District Council on the full refurbishment of the iconic Wānaka Dinosaur Slide – a much-loved local landmark for generations.

Here’s what the project involved:
✅ Onsite removal and refitting
✅ Stripping off all old gelcoat layers (fun fact: the slide was originally yellow!)
✅ Composite resurfacing and structural recompositing
✅ Gelcoat resurfacing and detailed machine polishing

We’ve included some great before-and-after shots and process photos so you can check out the transformation. This one came up amazing, and we’re stoked to see the dino slide looking better than ever!
