Upper Clutha Transport has a vacancy for an experienced Freight Truck Driver to join our team, in a curtain side unit between Wanaka and Christchurch doing 3 return trips per week.

This role would ideally be Timaru or Wanaka based but we are flexible for the right candidate.

Applicant Requirements:
Truck, Trailer and Forklift Experience
Current Class 5 licence essential
Forklift Licence and OSH Cert Preferred
Solid work ethic, positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Reliability and excellent communication skills with both colleagues and customers
Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety practice
NZ citizen or resident and/or valid NZ work visa
Willing to undertake pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Stock Truck Driver Position Vacant:
We need one more gun of a stock truck driver to join the crew in the Wanaka/Central Otago area. Great gear, solid team, real variety, and the kind of office view most people only get on their holidays.

Job Description:
Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip
Report any truck maintenance needs
Day-to-day truck driving, livestock loading and unloading on farm and at processing plants

Job Requirements:
Maintain accurate electronic driving logs and delivery data
Be confident and experienced in handling livestock and have knowledge of animal welfare
Out of town applicants will be considered

Applicant Requirements:
Hold a full and current NZ Class 5 Drivers Licence and have rural driving experience
Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Be able to work as part of a team, as well as unsupervised
Be committed to maintaining high standards of Health and Safety practice
Eligibility to work in NZ and/or a valid NZ work visa
Must take pride in their work and the company vehicles

Although some experience is preferred, we are willing to train an applicant who is keen and willing to learn something new.

The Successful Applicant Must Have:
- Minimum Class 2 Licence
- A current class 4 or 5 Licence is an advantage but not necessary as training can be discussed for the right candidate
- Out of town applicants will be considered
- Solid work ethic, positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Reliability and excellent communication skills
- Able to work weekends
- Be able to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised
