This truck has been a reliable workhorse for many years and is now ready for its next chapter. While it is not currently operational, it presents a genuine opportunity for someone with the right skills or interest to bring it back into service.
All proceeds from the sale will support the delivery of the Healthy Harold health and wellbeing program to over 20,000 children across Canterbury each year.

The NZ Trucking Association is proud to see the opening of Royans’ new state-of-the-art Christchurch facility, a significant investment in the Canterbury transport sector.
This centralised location is a true one-stop shop for heavy vehicle operators, bringing collision repairs, spray painting, sandblasting, and fleet branding together under one roof. For operators, that means greater efficiency, streamlined processes, and less downtime.
Purpose-built facilities and skilled technicians working as one team mean heavy vehicles are assessed, repaired, refinished and returned to service faster. In our industry, time off the road costs money, and having expert capability in one location makes a real difference.
It’s encouraging to see continued investment in infrastructure that supports productivity, safety, and high-quality workmanship for fleets of all sizes.
A strong industry depends on strong partners, and this facility is a great example of that in action. We are proud to have Royans as a Key Partner to the Association.

A huge thank you to Leeanne and Stephen Anderson for their support of the Road Safety Truck and for Stephen volunteering his time to drive the truck to Kids for Rigs – Nelson.
Over the weekend, Stephen and NZ Trucking Association the team ran our Truck Safety Programmes and welcomed more than 2,000 visitors through the truck. It was fantastic to see so many kids, families and community members engaging with the safety messages, asking questions and getting hands-on with the learning.
Events like this really highlight the value of being face to face with the community, sharing practical road safety messages in a fun, engaging way, and helping build understanding between heavy vehicles and other road users.
It was a fun, busy and incredibly rewarding weekend, and we’re grateful for the time, energy and commitment that makes this work possible.

2025 has been a landmark year for the New Zealand Trucking Association, marked by delivery, growth, and major change across the transport sector.
We proudly delivered the TMC Trailers Trucking Industry Show, bringing the industry together to showcase innovation, capability, and the people behind New Zealand’s freight task. Workforce development remained a strong focus, with school and community visits nationwide promoting careers in transport.
Internationally, we strengthened connections through a trucking tour to the Brisbane Truck Show and representation at the Australian Trucking Association Conference.
A major milestone was the launch of TruckSafe in New Zealand, providing operators with an industry-designed, independent safety management system. Health, safety, and wellbeing also remained front and centre through HARMfree Connect events, a Women in Transport event, and ongoing Road Safety Truck visits to schools and communities.
2025 also saw the establishment of the Transport Well Charitable Trust, ensuring long-term sustainability and independence for our industry initiatives. We rounded out the year by relocating offices after a decade at Waterloo Business Park, positioning us for future growth.
It’s been a huge and challenging year for the industry. Thank you to everyone who has supported our work to build a safer, stronger, and more sustainable transport sector.

A massive shout-out to the awesome drivers who took their trucks to the Santa Parade in Rangiora! 🎅🚛✨

When those big rigs rolled past, the kids’ faces lit up — cheering, waving, and absolutely buzzing with excitement.
It was more than a parade moment… it was a reminder that trucks and truck drivers are a huge part of our community, and a massive source of joy for the next generation.

What a brilliant promotion for our industry, and a credit to every driver who made the effort to show up, shine up, and represent us so proudly. 💪
