Now the Adventure really starts. Flying from Capetown via Kruger to Phinda Private Game Reserve.
An amazing stay within the Phinda Private Game Reserve. Phinda is the home to six magnificent lodges, each with its own unique charm & character.
Our stay at 2 of these fabulous lodges, Phinda Forest Lodge & Phinda Mountain Lodge, allowed us to get up close & personal with so much wildlife, the lodge staff were the perfect hosts and the guides always had a mindful eye on the surroundings so always felt in the safest of hands.
Our arrival saw us welcomed by the local wildlife on the airstrip, this in itself was to be such a life changing moment. Our lodge stay included all meals, house wines, selected spirits, teas and coffees, twice daily safaris with expert guides searching for the Big Five and the list goes on….

More from my amazing South African adventure….Table Mountain & Capetown Sightseeing
Our andBeyond Travel guide met us for the drive to Capetown, it was perfect weather to explore Cape Town. Excited that we got to travel up Table Mountain on the Cable Car, it was very windy but so worth it, the views from the top were amazing.
Our afternoon touring with our andBeyond Travel guide was a great chance to learn about the city’s long history and our hotel for the evening was the Commodore Hotel, a safe location right on the V&A waterfront.

I am just back from my amazing South African adventure…...come join me as I share my experiences.
After flying from NZ via Sydney & Johannesburg to Capetown, our group was met by the very efficient andBeyond Travel and transferred to the gorgeous Franschhoek Country House & Villas where we had a very welcome nights’ sleep and was to be our base for 2 nights.
A lovely wander through the gorgeous boutique style shops that Franschhoek is known for before we headed out for the remainder of the day to the equally gorgeous Boschendal, followed by Delaire Graff Estate where we sampled their exclusive wines and learned about their origins in such pristine surroundings.
My next post will be about Table Mountain and Capetown sightseeing – stay tuned!
