We’ve loved introducing more people to Woven’s unique approach to whisky, and while current stock has moved quickly, we’re excited to have a Woven restock arriving soon alongside some new additions to the range. 🙌

From hosting tasting events to importing spirits we genuinely believe in, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see Highland Fern continue to grow and connect with more whisky and spirit lovers across New Zealand.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗮𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀!

Expertly crafted from Raasay’s lightly peated spirit and matured in ex Frazitta Marsala Vergine casks, before being bottled at a robust 50.7% ABV. This whisky is laden with flavours of baked apples with apricots and lingering smoked toffee. This release represents a unique confluence of Sicilian wine heritage and modern Scottish whisky craftsmanship, resulting in a rare and highly collectible expression.

Matt & Heather got in touch with us because they wanted to do something a little different for his 50th birthday, so we brought the whisky tasting experience to their home for an evening with friends & family 🥃

𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝘂𝗺𝘀 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗯𝘆 Last Light Rum 🍹

Using a solera system allows complex flavours to balance and harmonise. The Last Light ‘Solera Aged Rum’ is matured in a combination of American and French Oak which have previously held NZ white and red wine. This adds another layer of complexity to the overall maturation profile of the Solera Aged Rum.

A bright nose of apple, pear drop with honey and hot toddy spices bound with maple syrup sweetness. Solera is soft on the palate with lashings of sweet candied sugar followed by soft liquorice, cinnamon and nutmeg behind which the oak reveals itself softly. The well integrated oak adds a soft vanilla touch that fades to a lingering spicy finish.

We officially launched our partnership with Last Light Rum last night! 🇳🇿🍹

But this has been in the works for a wee while. Back in January we spent time at the distillery, getting behind the scenes and getting to know the team properly (Swipe for a BTS).
