Class 5 Operator – Christchurch based position has come available.
This will involve operating 54 tonne truck and trailer hard- sider – KW 200 18 speed manual road ranger. Chilled/Frozen Experience would be preferred but training will be provided. South Island and Interisland runs as required basis.
Will need to be physically fit and able to manoeuvre the palleted goods with manual jiffy jack. You will need to be proficient in reversing into docks and tight spaces.
Will need to have forklift experience. F license and DG license required. Clean license with no at fault accident history – declaration of demerit points required. Declaration of physical fitness required and any Criminal history.
We have a Drug and Alcohol Policy that requires a preemployment test. You will be required to use eLogbook and electronic transport management (sign on glass)
Cleaning the inside and outside of the units is a daily/ weekly requirement. Ability to operate independently but also lookout for your workmates and maintain safe work practises.
We pay weekly along with performance bonus and staying away allowance. After 6 months of continued service, you will be offered Medical Insurance Cover.
Must be a New Zealand resident.

SH1 PUTARURU-LICHFIELD - FOUR WEEK CLOSURE

To continue a major road renewal project a section of State Highway 1 between Putaruru and Lichfield will be closed continuously (closed 24/7 in both directions) from 5am, Monday 03 March for up to four weeks, subject to weather conditions. SH1 will be closed to through-traffic from Princes St in Putaruru to Vosper Rd in the Lichfield area.

During this full closure all Light Vehicle through-traffic will be detoured via local roads (Lichfield Rd route) while Heavy Vehicles should use SH5 & SH30 via Rotorua. Emergency services will always have full access through the worksites as required, while resident access will be maintained at all times during the works, however residents will need to liaise with traffic control teams onsite during this 24/7 closure.

SH1 will remain accessible strictly for local traffic between Putaruru & Lichfield with businesses within the closure (e.g. VTNZ, Timber Museum, Train World and the Redwood CafΓ©) remaining open.

Class 5 Metro - with computer skills
Doing pick ups deliveries and back up dispatch.
Must have clean license be able to pass a drug test. Good computer skills and logistical attitude. Able to operate forklift safely and efficiently.

Christchurch based Positions available for Class 5 drivers.
We are looking for a driver experienced in linehaul with a view to joining our team of great people to support the team in and out of Nelson with the occasional venture around the South Island. You will need forklift experience. And be a NZ resident.
Also looking for extra hand locally around town. May suit Class 5 looking to gain more experience.
Willing to learn loading and take care of the units that need delivering and pickups for linehaul.
Must have clean license and able to pass drug test.

We are looking for experienced Class 5 drivers based from Christchurch.
You will need to be able to drive truck and trailer (50 Max Units). Road ranger experience.
Night shift work floating work within the South Island. Desire to fit in with a great team and look after your unit. It must be kept clean and tidy as we are food transporters.
You will need a clean license and be able to load and unload with forklift. Remuneration and company benefits will be discussed at interview time.

Class 5 positions available Christchurch based.
We have both linehaul and metro positions. Truck and trailer and semi experience. We are Food transporting specialist which means year round work. With seasonal changes and variety.
You will need to have forklift experience and take care with the product from customer to market. Customer skills and take care with paperwork. Looking after the gear is essential as no one wants their food turning up in a grubby truck.
You must have a clean license and be drug free.

Stepping into a male dominated industry and getting behind the wheel of a big rig is no small thing but was a step that Sheryl McGlashan was more than ready for. Sheryl joined the Brenics Limited team in February of 2021 as a class 4 driver through Road to success Driver Traineeship. Sheryl quickly gained new skills and confidence and obtained her class 5 license after a few months with the company, enjoying the support of management and having a team of experienced drivers to share their knowledge along the way. Sheryl has now completed 4 industry qualifications and was celebrated as a Road to success Graduate in September of this year – she is still loving what she does and encourages other women to look at truck driving as a career.
