Symons Group has just added its latest Bulk Tipper to our Transport fleet.

Our Bulk Tipper Fleet can move

Harvest Crops
Stock Food
Aggregate
Fertilizer

Our fleet are based in Auckland, Hamilton and New Plymouth.

Our Bulk Tippers are a variation of
Bulk Alloy Tippers with Sliding Floor, Hard X Tippers, standard Alloy Tippers and a Hard X Tri Axle Crane unit.

Our fleet are capable of carrying up to 136 m3 or 38 tonne payloads.

We can consider any laneways, single project work or long-term contracts.

A key laneway we are looking for opportunities to move inventory is from Auckland or Waikato down to Taranaki.

We have the ability to move up to 100 tonne per day.

Please feel free to email Brock Sibbick our Group Sales Manager [email protected] or message Dean Eggers anytime or email [email protected]

The first of our 5 new arrivals for the 2026 year turned up on Friday.

This Brand New Bulk Tipper built with Steel bins has taken real innovation to design and build.

It was imperative we got this 100% right, with very different material to carry North bound v's Southbound, given its line haul requirements v's short runs.

Compliance to be adhered to at unloading destinations requiring driver to stay in the cab, automated tail gates, bins covered and then the largest cube capacity and payload possible.

Very happy with the result achieving 93 cube capacity and 32 tonne payload.

A shout out to Muzza Symons and Dave Nolan for owning this build on behalf of Symons Group, to Deon Stephens and his Team at Scania Group New Zealand and to Dean Purves at Mills-Tui.

Most importantly opportunities to think outside the square, to innovate and build High Performance Fleet come from our Valued Customers.

Thanks to Craig Tuhoro and Craig Tuhoro Jnr and the Team at Global Metal Solutions Limited here in Taranaki, Waikato and Auckland. We look forward to seeing the unit moving in and out of the GMS facilities in the North Island.

“Destination Taranaki”

Today is the first day of a new entity been formed for Taranaki.

While its structure is to be determined it will be a vehicle Taranaki will own for the future benefit of Taranaki.

It’s called Destination Taranaki.

Founded by myself representing Symons Group, Sunny Grewal of India Today and Daniel Fleming of King and Queen Hotel Suites it’s being stood up for Taranaki and its final ownership could well be Taranaki itself.

With a number or initiatives underway the question we have for every resident of Taranaki is what could be 3 top extreme, adrenaline-pumping activities Taranaki could offer or importantly will offer in the future.

Please take the time to think and feel free to PM me or email me at [email protected] with ideas.

Not a single idea that won’t be considered.

Destination Taranaki’s sole objective is to allow New Zealanders and ultimately tourists from all over the world to know about the Worlds most Liveable City and all it has to offer.

We look forward to creating something special for our Province.

Going the Distance for Taranaki Athletes

Symons Group is proud to support talented people from our region as they pursue opportunities to compete at the highest levels of their sport.

Over the past year, we have been pleased to provide sponsorship support to Taranaki para-athletes Maia Read - Parabadminton Athlete and Amy Ellis as they continue their journeys in para badminton and para athletics.

Maia Read – Para Badminton
Symons supported Maia Read to represent New Zealand at the 2025 VICTOR Oceania Para Badminton Championships and the international competition held alongside it in Bendigo, Australia.

Maia returned home with three bronze medals from the Bendigo events—an excellent result against international competition.

She went on to qualify for the 2026 BWF Para Badminton World Championships in Bahrain, where she represented New Zealand alongside five other Kiwi athletes. Competing at a world championship marked another significant step in Maia’s developing international career.

Amy Ellis – Road to LA 2028
We are also supporting Taranaki para-athlete Amy Ellis as she works towards her goal of representing New Zealand at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.

Amy is a visually impaired T13 athlete who holds New Zealand records in the 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres and long jump. She is also a member of the Halberg Youth Council, where she helps advocate for greater inclusion and opportunities for young people with disabilities.

Her sporting journey has been about considerably more than medals. Through athletics, Amy has developed confidence, independence and a strong platform from which to encourage other young people to participate in sport.

Amy’s immediate goals include continuing to develop as an international athlete and progressing towards qualification for LA 2028.

Backing Potential in Our Region
Maia and Amy have both shown the commitment, resilience and courage required to pursue sport at an international level.

Symons Group is proud to play a small part in supporting their journeys, and we look forward to following their progress.

15 years in the seat with Symons!

Meet Kevin, a salt-of-the-earth guy who we've absolutely loved having as part of the Symons family.

Sadly, retirement is calling and he's letting us go. You're crying, not us. 😭

Watch on as he shares some of his favourite memories from his time in the industry.

Thank you for your service, Kevin! We hope there's plenty of whitebait running for you when you clock off next month.

A shout out to Jimmy Fastier and his team at the Taranaki Rugby Football Union for putting together an excellent afternoon at Corbett Park Oakura today.

BATTLE at the BEACH was an example of exceptional event planning led by Kurt Leuthart that gave passionate Taranaki Rugby fans a chance to see the Taranaki Bulls and the Wellington Lions put on a great game. Event SOLD OUT.

It gave Symons Group an opportunity as a supporting partner to take some of our clients, partners, suppliers and team along to the game and also give tickets out to the community we work amongst here in Bell Block New Plymouth.

A great game won by Taranaki Bull’s my adopted home town against my old home town 21-14. A Brilliant game.

Thanks to all the sponsors and supporters of TRFU that keep Taranaki punching above its weight.

From the Team at Symons Group all the best to the Bull’s for the 2026 season.

Great to see our Project Logistics division ramping up through our transitional facility.

A huge effort from Dion, Donald, Steve and Amy, who have done an outstanding job delivering for our customer.

We’re managing the complete port-to-door logistics solution, unpacking 23 x 40’ containers in just a matter of days while keeping the project moving on schedule.

The pipeline is building, and it’s exciting to see more major projects choosing local capability.

If you need support with container transport, devanning, storage, rail, or complete port-to-door logistics in or out of the Taranaki region, get in touch.
