Two V8s. One mission. Daily. 🚛

Millan Dhaliwal and Sarwandeep Gill of Panjab Logistics Ltd have taken delivery of two new Scania R 660 A8x4NA tractor units, and they're straight to work, running Foodstuffs cartage from Palmerston North to Auckland every day.

Each unit is powered by a Scania DC16 16-litre 660hp Euro 6 engine, paired with a G33CM 14-speed Opticruise and 4700D retarder. A Scania RB735 hub reduction rear end with leaf front and air rear suspension keeps things planted.

Both come kitted with sleeper cabs, scales, fridge and Durabrights all round, with a full safety suite including AEB, ACC, ABS and and EBS.

Cab paint by Haddock Spray Painters, sign writing by Caulfield Signs Rotorua, and driver Sarwandeep Gill is already putting the kilometres on.

This new Scania R 620 B8x4NA Curtainsider is set to tackle timber cartage across the North Island, combining V8 power with a driver-focused setup built for long days on the road.

Powered by a 16-litre Scania V8 producing 620hp, paired with a Scania Opticruise transmission and 4100D retarder, this unit is designed to handle demanding loads with ease.

Another purpose-built unit has joined the Rotorua Forest Haulage (RFH) Group fleet - this new Scania R 560 B8x4NB chip truck, ready for bulk chip cartage in and around the Rotorua region. 🌲

Designed for high-volume work, the setup pairs a 13-litre 560hp Scania engine with a 14-speed Opticruise transmission and 4700D retarder - delivering smooth, efficient performance across forestry routes. With hub reduction diffs and full air suspension front and rear, it’s built to handle the demands of chip cartage while keeping things stable under load.

Inside, it’s been spec’d for the long haul with leather seats, fridge and onboard scales, while the exterior is finished with a dropvisor and sharp paint and signage by Vaughn Road Panel & Paint and Caulfield Signs Rotorua.

With a full safety package including ACC, AEB and LDW, this is another well-rounded Scania built to perform where it counts.

Our new Longline cab follows the wheel tracks of a ‘long line’ of Scania heroes: Streamline, Highline, Topline. We’re presently on the hotline to the factory assessing the baseline compatibility of the new Longline 28 and 31 with New Zealand guidelines.
