We source and sell an eclectic range of stylish second-hand furniture and homewares often restoring them, so they can find a new home and begin a new story. Our designer and vintage clothing is high-quality, fashionable and lovingly curated in store. Some items are kindly donated and others we have sourced ourselves. This means that the work is done for you - leaving you to enjoy the shopping expe

rience. No more trawling through racks and racks of clothes to find clothes you will treasure. When you buy from us, you're not only supporting mental health with 50% of our profits from donated items going directly to The Mental Health Foundation of NZ, you're also giving us a platform to encourage the conversations and help normalise mental health in our communities. A recent estate clearance—and a significant transformation.

Many of you originally followed The Collective because you loved secondhand furniture, homewares and finding something special. That part of what we do is still very much alive.

Our years in the secondhand industry now play an important role in our estate and house-clearance work. We carefully assess the contents to identify furniture, homewares and collectables with resale potential, rather than treating everything as waste.

This clearance had a really short turnaround, so a full truckload of saleable furniture and homewares went straight to auction.
We also managed the wider process from beginning to end, liaising with the executors, the estate’s lawyer, the retirement village and the auction house. We coordinated donation and disposal, provided a complimentary light clean, and supplied a final clearance report and auction inventory.

Our aim is to make an overwhelming process feel manageable, taking away the stress and giving families and executors confidence that everything is in very capable hands.

When time allows, we’d love to share selected pieces with our followers first.

The Collective provides estate, house and storage-unit clearances, downsizing support and senior relocations throughout Auckland.

Thanks for hanging in there! We’re still here - with the same mission, just doing things a little differently these days.
