tional Airport was initiated to cater to the growing demand for air travel in the region and alleviate congestion at the existing Pokhara Airport, also known as the Pokhara Regional Airport. The foundation stone for the new airport was laid in April 2016, and the construction work progressed steadily over the years. With a total area of approximately 3,106 acres, the airport features a modern terminal building equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and amenities. The design of the terminal incorporates traditional Nepali architectural elements, blending them with contemporary touches. The airport has been developed with the objective of enhancing the passenger experience and meeting international standards. The runway at Pokhara International Airport measures around 2,500 meters in length, allowing it to accommodate medium-sized aircraft. The airport has the capacity to handle around 1.5 million passengers annually, which is a significant upgrade from the previous airport's capacity.
