⛰️ AMA DABLAM EXPEDITION — FIXED DEPARTURE: 12th OCTOBER

Rising to 6,814m above the Khumbu Valley, Ama Dablam is one of the most striking peaks on Earth — a razor-sharp ridge of granite and hanging glaciers that has earned its nickname, the “Matterhorn of the Himalaya.” It’s technical, it’s exposed, and it rewards climbers with some of the most spectacular views in all of Nepal — Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu all visible from the exposed camps along the route.

This autumn, Pioneer Adventure Nepal is running a fixed-departure expedition to the summit, departing 12 October. Our team will guide you through the full climb — from the approach through the Khumbu, to fixed-rope traverses along knife-edge ridgelines, to high camp pushes on mixed rock and ice — supported at every stage by experienced climbing Sherpas, proper acclimatization planning, and full logistics on the ground.

Whether Ama Dablam is your next step toward the Seven Summits, a technical challenge you’ve been training for, or simply the climb of a lifetime, we’ll get you there safely and put you on one of the most photogenic summits in the world.

🕯️ In Loving Memory — Broad Peak, July 30, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we at Pioneer Adventure Nepal join the mountaineering community in mourning the loss of Nirmal “Nimsdai” Purja and fellow climbers, who tragically lost their lives in an avalanche on Broad Peak.

Nims redefined what was possible in high-altitude mountaineering — summiting all fourteen 8,000m peaks in just six months and six days, leading the historic first winter ascent of K2, and carrying the name and skill of Nepal’s climbers onto the world stage like no one before him.

We also mourn the nine climbers and guides who were with him:

PIONEER ADVENTURE MAKALU SUMMIT SUCCESS 2026 🏔️

We are proud to announce the successful summit of Mount Makalu (8,485m), the fifth highest mountain in the world, by the Pioneer Adventure team during the Spring 2026 expedition season.

Makalu is considered one of the most demanding and technical 8000-meter peaks in the Himalayas. This success represents dedication, preparation, teamwork and the strong bond between climbers and Sherpa guides throughout the expedition.
Climbing in the high Himalayas is about much more than reaching the summit.

True success comes through responsibility, respect for the mountain and the safe return of every team member. We are incredibly proud of the determination, discipline and teamwork shown by everyone involved in this journey.

Pioneer Expedition Update from Mount Everest!!

Our Pioneer Adventure Everest Expedition team has now left Base Camp for their final summit push and is currently at Camp 2. Tomorrow, the climbers will move up to Camp 3 as they continue their journey towards the top of the world.

The first summit team is planning their summit attempt on 20 May, while other groups within the expedition are scheduled to go for the summit on 21 and 22 May respectively.

This is the most crucial phase of the expedition, where months of preparation, patience, and determination come together. We wish all our climbers and Sherpa team members strength, favorable weather, and safe climbing conditions for the final stretch ahead.

At Pioneer Adventure, we always believe: Reaching the summit is important, but returning safely is mandatory.

Wishing the entire team a successful summit and a safe return back to Base Camp.
