We are pleased to announce that DOF has agreed two vessel transactions as part of our ongoing fleet renewal and high-grading strategy. We also share an update on the AHTS Skandi Amazonas following the incident in Brazil in May.
The two transactions include the sale of four PSVs – Skandi Mongstad, Skandi Flora, Skandi Feistein and Skandi Kvitsøy – with expected delivery during Q3 2026 🗓 At the same time, two newbuild CSVs will join the DOF fleet in 2027 and 2028 🎉 Currently under construction at PaxOcean in China, the vessels will add capacity to our global subsea organisation within IMR, field support and subsea construction.
Mons S. Aase, CEO DOF Group ASA, commented: "The transactions follow DOF's strategy of high-grading the fleet across vessel segments. […] I am therefore very happy to be able to announce these transactions, and I look forward to welcoming the new vessels to our fleet once construction has been finalised."
On 15 May 2026, Skandi Amazonas was grounded outside Macaé, Brazil, damaging the hull and causing water ingress. Following a comprehensive assessment, the potential rebuilding cost exceeds the vessel's insured value, and DOF has declared a constructive total loss on the vessel, resulting in a hull and machinery insurance payout of USD 115 million.
