Sailing into Bergen on board Statsraad Lehmkuhl marked the end of the Bergen Shipping Voyage 2026 – and the beginning of a wider conversation.
Nine colleagues from DOF sailed the route together, sharing watches, weather, work and the kind of everyday challenges that quickly turn a group into a team🧭👥
Later in the week, Statsraad Lehmkuhl also became an arena for discussion as part of One Ocean Week 🌊 Here, Gyrid Lønnestad represented DOF in the Rafto Foundation for Human Rights / Norwegian Shipowners' Association (Norges Rederiforbund) panel debate “Navigating the Future: Sustainability in a New Geopolitical Reality”, highlighting the importance of high standards for responsible conduct and how trust is built and maintained throughout the maritime supply chain – particularly in a more demanding and geopolitically complex operating environment 🌍
DOF also took part in the One Ocean Week conference. EVP Renewable Jan-Kristian Haukeland joined the conversation on growth opportunities within the ocean industries, focusing on which competitive advantages we need to continue building on – from long‑term competence and experience, to technology, ex*****on capability and collaboration across the value chain⚙️
Together, the week brought together experience from operations and concrete discussions on standards, responsibility and trust – and how these are applied and upheld in practice, both offshore and onshore.
