Meet Normand Maximus – the largest vessel in the Solstad fleet🚢

At 178 meters long, 33 meters wide and with an impressive 65‑meter airdraft, she is one of the world’s largest and most advanced subsea construction vessels.

Purpose‑built for complex deep‑water operations, she offers a 900‑ton main crane capacity and a 550‑ton vertical lay system.

She also holds a world record in pipe‑laying after installing 178 kilometers of umbilical cable in a single operation.

This year marks her 10‑year anniversary - we wish Normand Maximus and her crew the very best in the projects ahead!

From Cadet to Chief Officer – Meet Kent Petter Valstad! 🙋‍♂️

Growing up in Åkra, Karmøy, Kent Petter Valstad often saw Solstad vessels glide past along the coast, and dreamed of one day working aboard them.

Today, at 35, he is Chief Officer on the Normand Sapphire – with a career that has taken him from towing operations in Congo to emergency preparedness in the Bahamas.

Great Friday News!

🚢 Normand Navigator 🚢
Solstad Maritime has entered into a Letter of Intent with an international subsea contractor for the CSV Normand Navigator.

The contract starts in Q2 2026 and runs for 450 days, with options for extension.

Normand Navigator will support operations worldwide and will be equipped with two work-class ROVs, delivered and manned by Solstad Maritime with support from Omega Subsea AS, including tooling and survey services.

🚢 Normand Tonjer 🚢
Solstad Offshore has signed a Letter of Intent for Normand Tonjer with an undisclosed client.

The vessel will operate in the Asia-Pacific region, with a contract of 225 days (including mobilization) starting February 2026, and further options thereafter.

Commercial terms remain confidential between the parties.

From commanding the seas to managing the fleet – meet Veronica Rodrigues! 👏

After leading more than 100 colleagues offshore as a Captain, Veronica now brings her hands-on experience to her role as Vessel Manager at Solstad.

Her experience covers a broad range of offshore operations - from AHTS and CSV work to complex rig moves.

Today, Veronica works closely with captains to ensure safe, efficient operations across the fleet.

Great Thursday News: Contract Extension and Amendment for Normand Turquesa 🚢

We are happy to announce a 1-year extension and amendment to Solstad Offshore ASA's contract with Petrobras for AHTS Normand Turquesa, securing a firm commitment until 1Q 2031. This brings the total gross contract value to approximately USD 100 million.
