Wonderful hiking trails are waiting for you as you arrive at Mt. Hoven with Loen Skylift. All trails with views of the fjord landscape and Jostedalsbreen National Park. Choose between easy short hikes and more challenging full-day hikes. The trails are waymarked and signposted by international standards. Via Ferrata Loen ends up at Mount Hoven - a spectacular climbing route. Most people manage to climb the Via Ferrata trail (“iron road”). A guide is with you all the way and with a harness attached, you can’t fall. In 2020 the new zip line opened, only a 5 minutes walk from Loen Skylift. In wintertime, you can go snowshoe hiking or ski touring, or maybe go on a sled run with the kids? When the snow conditions allow we will make cross-country tracks. HOVEN RESTAURANT
Enjoy a good meal with local ingredients, at the edge of the cliff, with a wide panoramic view of the fjord landscape. Hoven Restaurant has a selection of warm and cold dishes. Hotel Alexandra operates the restaurant and brings extensive experience and good traditions. À la carte for individuals and smaller groups. Larger groups have to book in advance. Groups can also have served dinners or banquet dinners outside ordinary opening hours.
