Using Active Tools Adjustable Shoes for Beach Sprints
In Beach Sprints, it’s crucial for athletes to get into their boat and start as quickly as possible. We’ve heard that some teams fold down the straps of the shoes and adjust the shoes to be two sizes larger than the athlete’s actual shoe size.
Since the straps don’t stay down on their own, we were asked to come up with a better solution.
Solution:
Use stainless steel money clips, which are widely available. Slightly open the clips by clamping them in a vise and carefully prying them open with a screwdriver. Attach the clips as shown in the photos. While the straps may crease, they will almost fully recover, and the creasing won’t affect the strength of the straps.
