This massive structure was safely transported using:
🔹 196 SPMT axles
🔹 9 Power Pack Units (PPUs)
🔹 Cometto + Scheuerle SPMTs

The entire transport and load out was executed on schedule, within 12 hours.

🎥 Another successful delivery by Roll Group Middle East 🎥

Our team recently wrapped up a multi-shipment heavy transport project in Sohar, Oman, supporting a key development in the Sohar Free Zone. Over the course of several months, we safely moved 25 large cargo units, with a total weight of 3,383.73 t, all without a single incident.

In a remote part of Angola, Roll Group executed one of the largest trailer load-outs ever completed in Africa, delivering both a jacket and topside structure safely onto a floating barge using 140 axle lines.

🎥 At Roll Group we are proud to have contributed to one of South Korea’s most ambitious petrochemical infrastructure projects - the installation of the nation's largest propylene fractionator, as part of the Shaheen ethylene facility in Ulsan.

This tower is now the heaviest single component ever installed in Korea’s petrochemical industry.
🔹 118 meters tall
🔹 8.5 meters in diameter
🔹 weighing a colossal 2,370 tons

The challenge
Extremely narrow site conditions left no room for large heavy-lift cranes.

Roll Group solution
Our specialized gantry lifting solution enabled vertical installation while maintaining full lifting control and safety. The entire lift, from dockside transport to vertical installation, was completed in just 14 hours.

Always proud to see our team in action! 📽️ In one of our latest projects, Roll Group collaborated with McDermott on the Viva Energy Ultra-Low Sulfur Gasoline (ULSG) project in Australia.

We successfully transported:
🔹5 PAU modules (up to 1000 mT) from Sattahip, Thailand
🔹3 heater modules from Laem Chabang, Thailand
All delivered safely to Geelong Refinery, Australia

With our brand-new RollBarge 1 and a clever combination of Ro-Ro, Lo-Lo and Flo-Flo operations, our team engineered a sustainable logistics solution, minimizing environmental impact while maximizing efficiency.

From custom sea fastening to floating our barge for shallow water discharge, and organizing a 7-day road closure in Australia with heavy-duty bridging systems, this project had it all.
Huge thanks to our teams, partners, and subcontractors for making this complex operation a success! 👏

Our team of experts used our CC2500 to remove two overhead cranes, then built and installed a refurbished and new overhead crane to complete this project.
