Jan and Peter had a very productive time at the FIDI Conference, reconnecting with old friends and making new connections. For those of us who stayed behind, we may have gotten a slightly different impression of the conference’s real focus… 😂

Either way, FIDI and Osaka were clearly a success, whether business-related or gastronomically inspired! 😋

Jan Koets and Peter Visser took off to Osaka for last week’s FIDI Conference and have hit the ground running.

Beyond the great photos and warm welcomes, conferences like FIDI are an important opportunity to strengthen global partnerships and continue building the relationships that help us deliver seamless service worldwide.

That said, it does look like Osaka is agreeing with them both! 😄

Dominique Mundia and Coralie Shaefer were at EURA 2026 last week in Malta, representing Atlas International Movers and connecting with partners from around the world.

Now it’s Jan Koets and Peter Vissers turn to take the baton as they head to Osaka for the FIDI conference next week!

This “legendary” team meetup kicked off with a focused training session in the aptly chosen container conference rooms at and wrapped up with a team dinner full of great conversations! Always refreshing to connect in person.

What stands out with this team is the strong collaboration and the great energy. Great crew, great industry experience, great energy, and a lot of fun! 🎉

At Atlas International Movers we want to keep our clients and partners fully informed about the ongoing situation in the Middle East and how it may affect their international relocations and household goods shipments.

Global transport networks are facing significant disruption. While our Atlas teams are doing everything possible to manage and mitigate impacts, some factors are entirely outside our control, including carrier decisions, port restrictions, and government measures.

𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
● Key Gulf ports remain heavily restricted; commercial vessel transits are suspended
● Suez Canal and Red Sea routes are paused; vessels are rerouted via the Cape of Good Hope
● Transit times may increase by 10–20+ days, and schedule reliability is unpredictable
● Airfreight capacity is limited/cancelled in affected regions
● Emergency conflict and war-risk surcharges have been applied by carriers and insurance companies

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
● Potential delays or last-minute changes to departure and transit schedules
● Temporary storage or alternative routing may be required
● Extended planning timelines are strongly recommended
● Additional costs may occur due to carrier-imposed surcharges

Packing activities can continue where feasible, but departures and routing remain subject to carrier and authority decisions, which are beyond our control.
