Vertom B.V. and Universal Africa Lines B.V. (UAL) have announced their intention to enter into a strategic combination.

This step brings together two complementary shipping companies, combining Vertom’s strong position in short sea shipping with UAL’s expertise in transatlantic and West Africa trade lanes.

Both Vertom and UAL will continue to operate under their own names and retain their individual identities, while exploring opportunities to further strengthen their services and customer offering.

A strong partnership built on sustainability and innovation continues to take shape.

Tomorrow, the Skretting Gro, a 6,000 DWT multi-purpose dry cargo vessel with diesel-electric propulsion, will be launched at Chowgule and Company - Shipbuilding Division in India. The vessel is being built by Vertom for Skretting, with Strand Shipping responsible for the vessel’s commercial and operational management.

This launch marks another milestone in the 15-year agreement between Skretting, Vertom, and Strand Shipping, aimed at developing a more sustainable and efficient supply chain for the aquaculture industry.

Our newest addition: MV Vertom Quina ⚓️ 💚

After successful sea trials, the last vessel of the series built at Royal T Shipyards has now been delivered.

We would like to take this moment to thank all parties involved in the construction of this vessel and in continuously improving the design with each new addition.

Some facts about MV Vertom Quina:
🚢 7,280 DWT
📏 Length: 118.60 m
↔️ Beam: 14.30 m

We are looking forward to her first charter next week. 🌍
