At Euro-Rijn Logistics, our team periodically visits parts of the organisation they don’t work with every day. It’s a great way to stay connected with the different operations, see processes up close and learn from the people behind them. Recently, our team visited Overslagbedrijf Moerdijk.
Managing Director Frank Nooijen took the time to show us around the terminal. We watched a vessel being unloaded with salt, visited the different storage locations, saw the machinery used across the terminal and learned more about the products OBM handles.
The tour ended with one of the most impressive sights of the day: OBM’s 52 metre high silos, which are used for the storage of fly ash.
As one of Euro-Rijn’s participations, OBM plays an important role in the wider logistics network. With its facilities for the handling and storage of bulk and breakbulk cargo, it adds another area of operational expertise to the group.
A very interesting and enjoyable day for the team.
Thank you Frank and the OBM team for the warm welcome, the insights and the spectacular tour!
