Be aware of the danger of goods.
Whether you have to ship lithium batteries, paint or chemicals by air? Perhaps it might be airbags or seatbelt tensioners for the automobile industry.
The list of goods classified as “dangerous” is a long one. The International air Transport Association (IATA) has regulated in over 910 pages what is to be observed when these goods are transported as airfreight. The Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) painstakingly detail which chemicals and substances are classified as dangerous and how they must be packed, labelled and loaded.
The DGR encompasses nine different categories, including explosive, inflammable, toxic and corrosive substances, but there are also dangerous goods which one might not have expected to be classified as such like hairspray, dry ice, fire extinguishers.
At our Schiphol branch office are we specially trained for DGR transportation via land, sea or air as well as trained for transportation of all variations of Lithium Batteries by air. We can also advise you on every aspect of packaging and documentation, and we will provide you with solutions tailor-made for your dangerous goods shipment.
