SMM 2026 has come to an end! Looking back on days 3 and 4, we are proud to close out a successful exhibition in Hamburg.

Together with Mitsubishi, Koedood was proud to be part of the NL Pavilion, where we had the pleasure of meeting many existing and new relations. We would like to thank everyone for joining us, for the valuable conversations, and for your interest in our maritime propulsion solutions.

It was a busy and inspiring programme, filled with great conversations, dinners, drinks and, of course, podcast recordings. A fantastic opportunity to exchange knowledge, make new connections and strengthen existing relationships.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and collaborations!

SMM 2026 zit erop! Met een terugblik op dag 3 en 4 sluiten we een succesvolle beurs in Hamburg af.

Samen met Mitsubishi stond Koedood op het NL Paviljoen, waar we veel bestaande én nieuwe relaties mochten ontmoeten. We bedanken iedereen voor jullie komst, de waardevolle gesprekken en de interesse in onze maritieme voortstuwingsoplossingen.

Het was een druk en inspirerend programma, met goede gesprekken, diners, borrels én natuurlijk podcastopnames. Een mooie gelegenheid om kennis te delen, nieuwe contacten te leggen en bestaande relaties verder te versterken.

🇬🇧 𝗠𝗯𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗦 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🌱
The Meteoor, a self-propelled hopper barge, has been equipped with a KEES solution, powered by a Mitsubishi S12A2 (727 kW / 989 hp @ 1800 rpm), combined with a Masson MM W4250 gearbox.

The result: a reliable and future-ready propulsion system, ready for many more years of operation.

The Van der Hoff family once again chose Mitsubishi and once again chose Koedood. The repowering was carried out alongside the quay at Koedood. At the end of August, the sea trial was successfully completed, marking the successful completion of this project. MBS Meteoor is now ready to continue her operations with confidence.

Het motorbeunschip Meteoor is voorzien van een KEES-oplossing, uitgevoerd met een Mitsubishi S12A2 (727 kW / 989 pk @ 1800 rpm), in combinatie met een Masson MM W4250 keerkoppeling.

Het resultaat: een betrouwbare en toekomstbestendige aandrijflijn, klaar voor vele nieuwe vaaruren.

De familie Van der Hoff koos opnieuw voor Mitsubishi én opnieuw voor Koedood. De hermotorisering vond plaats aan de kade bij Koedood. Eind augustus is de proefvaart met succes afgerond. Daarmee is dit mooie project succesvol voltooid en kan de MBS Meteoor weer vol vertrouwen de vaart op.

A look inside the engine room of the Johanna Andrea, where our colleagues Arnoud and Floris recently carried out maintenance on the Mitsubishi S12A2. Alongside our repowering projects and overhauls, our service team also regularly carries out maintenance work on vessels alongside at Koedood.

This time, the work included general maintenance, an endoscopic inspection, an alignment check, additional mechanical work, and welding and steelwork. As the photos show, checking the alignment requires precision and attention to detail.

After the work was completed and the engine had successfully completed its test run, the Johanna Andrea was ready to leave Koedood and continue her journey, ready for many more operating hours.

Een kijkje in de machinekamer van de Johanna Andrea, waar onze collega’s Arnoud en Floris recent onderhoud uitvoerden aan de Mitsubishi S12A2. Naast onze hermotoriseringen en revisies voert ons serviceteam regelmatig onderhoudswerkzaamheden uit aan schepen die voor de wal bij Koedood liggen.

De werkzaamheden bestonden dit keer uit algemeen onderhoud, een endoscopische inspectie, controle van de uitlijning, aanvullende mechanische werkzaamheden en las- en ijzerwerk. Zoals op de foto's te zien is, vraagt het controleren van de uitlijning om precisie en aandacht voor detail.

Na afronding van de werkzaamheden en het succesvol proefdraaien van de motor kon de Johanna Andrea weer vertrekken, klaar voor de volgende vaaruren.

Over the past month, Koedood carried out maintenance and overhaul activities for the Aurora.

The portside Mitsubishi S12A2 (634 kW @ 1940 rpm) underwent a complete overhaul in our workshop, while the starboard engine received service.

Highlights of the work included:
▪️ Overhaul of the cylinder heads, turbochargers and governor
▪️ Inspection and overhaul of the fuel and cooling systems
▪️ Renewal of various engine components and wear parts
▪️ Workshop test run, on-board commissioning and sea trial in Austria
▪️ Service of the starboard Mitsubishi S12A2 engine, including valve adjustment, injector replacement and turbo inspection

Following a successful sea trial, the Aurora was able to continue her journey. We would like to thank everyone involved for their trust in Koedood and the pleasant cooperation throughout this project. We wish the crew of the Aurora many safe, reliable and successful hours of operation.

De afgelopen maand voerde Koedood revisie- en onderhoudswerkzaamheden voor de Aurora.

De bakboord Mitsubishi S12A2 (634 kW @ 1940 rpm) onderging in onze werkplaats een complete revisie, terwijl de stuurboordmotor een onderhoudsbeurt kreeg.

Een greep uit de werkzaamheden:
▪️ Revisie van de cilinderkoppen, turbo's en regelateur
▪️ Inspectie en revisie van het brandstof- en koelsysteem
▪️ Vervanging van diverse motorcomponenten en slijtdelen
▪️ Proefdraaien in de werkplaats, inbedrijfstelling aan boord en een proefvaart in Oostenrijk
▪️ Onderhoud aan de stuurboord Mitsubishi S12A2, waaronder het stellen van de kleppen, het vervangen van injectoren en de controle van de turbo's

Na een succesvolle proefvaart kon de Aurora haar reis vervolgen. We bedanken alle betrokken partijen voor het vertrouwen in Koedood en de prettige samenwerking tijdens dit project. Wij wensen de bemanning van de Aurora veel veilige, betrouwbare en succesvolle vaaruren toe.
