Collaboration continued to support the development of our offshore fleet and services, while innovation and high standards remain central to our daily operations. Looking ahead, we stay focused on responsible growth and a sustainable future for the offshore industry.

𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐉𝐑 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩!

Today, 25 June, the global maritime community comes together to celebrate 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐃𝐚𝐲. This year, the International Maritime Organization - IMO launched the “𝐌𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭-𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐩” campaign, a bold initiative to promote a culture of respect and zero tolerance for bullying and harassment at sea.

This commitment becomes even more relevant on today’s 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫, which this year carries the important theme: My Harassment-Free Ship. At JR Shipping Group, we fully support this call for action. A safe, respectful, and inclusive working environment at sea is not just a matter of compliance; it is a matter of principle. After a busy 2024 season for SeaZip, we organised our Officer Days 2025 this week.

During the Officers' Days, we want to bring everyone together to reflect on the past year and make plans and preparations for the start of the new season! We invited our SeaZip Crew to Lauwersoog for a few days for a programme put together by our colleagues from Crewing, Chartering, TD, QHSE, Procurement & Logistics, ICT and ESG (Environmental, Social and Goverance). But Wärtsilä Corporation also made a valuable contribution in FOS-Ecdis training our colleagues on board, great! And we are grateful to Next Generation Shipyards / Shiprepair as well for their hospitality at their yard location.

Of course, the input from our seafaring colleagues on these days is also very valuable. The interaction that occurs and the learning moments we experience together are invaluable for our services. But of course, fun, appreciation, and respect for each other are also essential for optimal cooperation. Both our seafarers and shore organisation colleagues therefore had fun moments together during the extra (evening) programme that was organised.

We are proud of our team that is again completely ready for an upcoming season! Let’s commit together for: High performance, safe, and sustainable offshore operations.

Let's commit together to sustainability in offshore services!

JR Shipping Group, of which SeaZip Offshore Service is part, is proud to announce the publication of their second Sustainability Report. This puts us at the forefront of the transition to a more sustainable future, ahead of the legal obligations that come into force in 2026. For us, ESG is not an obligation, but an opportunity. Opportunities in several ways;

Environment: We have taken concrete steps to reduce our environmental footprint. From research into biofuel as an alternative fuel to innovative adaptation projects for our vessels, we are determined to minimize our impact on the environment.

Social: We invest in our people and create an inclusive and safe working environment. We are grateful for the commitment of all our employees, who have helped us prepare this report and inspire us to improve.

Governance: Transparency and responsible decision-making are crucial to us. We have strengthened our governance structures to ensure that ethical choices and social responsibility are at the core of our business activities.

Although we do not yet meet all ESG requirements, steps have been taken and lessons learned. Our report provides valuable insights and highlights our commitment to sustainability.

On her way to a new, challenging offshore project outside Europe 🌎. Last Saturday, our CTV SeaZip 5 was hoisted aboard MV Vertom Joy for transport across the North Atlantic 🌊.

Sailing for wind. Sailing for green power. Actively contributing to the transition to renewable energy. That's what SeaZip's 24 PAX offshore service vessels do every day. And that fits seamlessly into the sustainable ambitions of JR Shipping Group of which we are part.

Those ambitions and corresponding steps are explained in our JR Shipping Group Report 2022/2023. It has become a special edition. Because in 2023, the shipping group celebrated its 30th anniversary. The annual report describes the milestones.

Of course, the report also provides insight into the results of the past period and the course of the shipping group. That course is Sustainable. As far as JR Shipping and SeaZip Offshore Service are concerned, profitable and sustainable shipping go hand in hand. We aim high: Together towards Excellence in Sustainable Short Sea Shipping.

We look back on a successful year and are proud of our active contribution to numerous wind turbine projects in Europe. Thanks for your involvement.
