De countdown is nu écht begonnen! Over precies 3 weken verandert de start- en landingsbaan van Twente Airport opnieuw in misschien wel het meest bijzondere hardloopparcours van Nederland. 💜🧡

Op zondag 27 september klinkt het startschot voor de AELS Runway Run for KiKa powered by Run2Day Zwolle!

Een Kidsrun, 5 kilometer en 10 kilometer.
Honderden lopers.
Eén unieke start- en landingsbaan. ✈️
En bovenal: één gezamenlijk doel — zoveel mogelijk geld ophalen voor KiKa! 🎗️

Vorig jaar stonden we hier met z’n allen aan de start. Dit jaar willen we er een nóg mooiere editie van maken. En jij kunt er nog bij zijn!

⚠️ De laatste startbewijzen zijn inmiddels in de na-inschrijving gegaan en OP = OP:
🧡 Kidsrun — nog 30 startbewijzen
💜 5 KM — nog 100 startbewijzen
🩷 10 KM — nog 150 startbewijzen

Ben jij een financieel talent dat goed is met cijfers? Dan hebben wij dé baan voor jou in een unieke werkomgeving! Bij AELS voelt werken alsof je op reis bent, want ons kantoor ligt pal naast de vliegtuigen. AELS is namelijk specialist in ontmanteling van commerciële vliegtuigen. Van aankoop van vliegtuigen tot de verkoop van het laatste herbruikbare onderdeel: op die manier dragen wij bij aan circulaire luchtvaart.

Wat ga je doen?�
Samen met twee collega’s ben jij de financiële motor van onze onderneming. Jij zorgt ervoor dat onze administratie op rolletjes loopt, van inkoopfacturen tot het opstellen van financiële rapportages.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic intern to join AELS Repair Management team!
If you're a curious, tech-minded HBO student with a love for aviation and a drive to learn, this is your chance to dive into the world of aircraft parts and help give them a second life.

✅ You will be based in our brand-new Rotterdam office;

20 years of circular aviation: What a fantastic day!

Friday the 12th of June, We celebrated our 20th anniversary with a wonderful boat cruise through Rotterdam.
Surrounded by great company, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and plenty of laughter, we took the opportunity to look back on two decades of achievements and memorable moments.

A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to our success over the years. Together, we have made this milestone truly unforgettable.

Here's to the next 20 years of growth, collaboration, and success! 🥂✨

Did AELS appoint a new Chief Happiness Officer?

Every now and then, we have some extra company at the AELS office: in the form of office dog Moos. His owner, , sometimes brings him to the office when nobody is at home, or simply because it makes the working day more fun.

Whether Moos will become a permanent member of the team is uncertain, but one thing is clear: he brings a lot of smiles to the office during busy working days. As well as being good company, Moos also ensures we get some exercise during our lunch breaks when we walk him.

Did you know that research shows that having dogs in the office can help reduce stress and contribute to a positive working atmosphere? We can definitely confirm that from our own experience with Moos.

Behind the scenes at AELS. Tonight on Dutch TV!

Recently, AELS had the opportunity to facilitate a filming day for the KRO-NCRV programme 'BinnensteBuiten'. While our location provided the setting, the spotlight was on Derk-Jan van Heerden, founder of AELS and AETHOS.

AETHOS's mission is to improve the recycling of aircraft materials. As a proud member of this foundation, AELS supports this mission by maximising the reuse and recycling of aircraft parts and materials, giving them a valuable second life wherever possible.

During her visit on the filming day, presenter Marieke Eyskoo explored the world of aircraft dismantling, learning more about what happens when airplanes reach the end of their financial lifetime and the key role played by the circularity of aircraft parts and the recycling of materials.

The TV show will be broadcast tonight (7 April) at 19:00 on NPO2 (Dutch television)!
