🚢 𝕀𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝔹𝕒𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖 𝕚𝕟 𝔻𝕠𝕣𝕕𝕣𝕖𝕔𝕙𝕥

Last week, high-heat tanker 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 arrived in Dordrecht (NL) with a cargo of bitumen from La Coruna in Spain. Since Dordrecht is the hometown of Vroon CEO 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗷𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻, it was too good an opportunity to be missed! 😊

Accompanied by Project Manager 𝗧𝘇𝘂-𝗬𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗶𝗷, Martijn was warmly welcomed on board by 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁. 𝗕𝗼𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗮 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝘀 and his crew.

After loading a new cargo of bitumen in Rotterdam, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 is now on her way to a UK port for discharging.

🎉 𝕃𝕝𝕠𝕪𝕕 𝕋𝕦𝕓𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕒 𝕔𝕖𝕝𝕖𝕓𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕤 𝟚𝟝 𝕪𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕤 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕀𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕊𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕤

👏 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮 celebrates 25 years with the Company on 16 June. This milestone was recently celebrated on board his current vessel, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆.

🚢 Lloyd has spent his entire career with the Iver Ships tanker fleet, joining us in June 2001 as Engine Cadet on board 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. He subsequently worked his way up the ranks from Oiler on 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹 and 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 to the position of Third Engineer on 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in 2017 and 2018. Since May 2019, Lloyd has served as Third Engineer with our high-heat tankers, including assignments on 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 and now 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆.

⚓ In addition to his daily work, Lloyd has been busy preparing for his Management Level Course examination, which resulted in him recently acquiring the required licence for promotion to the rank of Second Engineer. He will join 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 to take up his first tour as Second Engineer.

👏 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲

🚢 On 10 June, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝘇𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗲 marks his 20th anniversary with the company. C/O Hare was congratulated by the team on board his current vessel, high-heat tanker 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁.

⚓ C/O Hare started his journey with Vroon in 2006, initially working as AB on offshore-support vessel 𝗩𝗢𝗦 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿. The following year, he made the switch to Iver Ships. After joining 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 as Fourth Officer, he sailed on a number of our product tankers until 2018. In early 2019, C/O Hare started his first deployment with our high-heat tankers. Since then, he has served on board 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 and 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, since 2022 as Chief Officer.

🚢 Last week, our high-heat tanker 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 arrived in Zelzate (BE). Vroon CEO 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗷𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻 took the opportunity to visit the vessel, together with Supervisory Board member 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻, Iver Ships Managing Director 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗷𝗸 and Superintendent 𝗟𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗷𝘀.

𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝗲 𝗞𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗸 and his crew extended a warm welcome to the visitors, sharing their enthusiasm for the vessel.

Iver Ambition had arrived from Malmö, Sweden to discharge her cargo. During the visit, the vessel was heating up her cargo tanks in preparation for loading the next cargo, destined for Canada. Iver Ambition is engaged on a regular trade between Canada and North West Europe, carrying warm and hot temperature chemicals and oil products. Following several modifications in recent years, she is now a unique ship capable of carrying warm and hot temperature cargoes consecutively.

🎉 Last week, 𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐞𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬 was congratulated on 33 years’ service with the Company by his colleagues on board high-heat tanker 𝐈𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐲. 👏

Fitter Delos Santos joined us in April 1993, with his first seven years spent on board our livestock carriers. In August 2000, he was assigned to product tanker 𝐈𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥. Except for one contract with Livestock Express, he has served with Iver Ships ever since. Over the years, he has switched between product tankers and high-heat tankers, and is currently a valued member of the team on board Iver Beauty. ⚓

Any anniversary is a reason to celebrate, but more than three decades of loyalty is definitely worthy of recognition! 🙌 Thank you, Fitter Delos Santos, for your hard work and dedication throughout this time. We wish you all the best as you continue your valued contributions to the success of Iver Ships.

🎉 𝔽𝕝𝕠𝕣𝕚𝕤 𝕊𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕙𝕦𝕚𝕛𝕤𝕖𝕟 𝟚𝟘 𝕪𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕤’ 𝕤𝕖𝕣𝕧𝕚𝕔𝕖

Yesterday, our 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 colleagues congratulated 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗵𝘂𝗶𝗷𝘀𝗲𝗻 on two decades with the Company.

🌍 ⚓ Floris started his journey with 𝗩𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗻 at the end of April 2006, as Newbuilding Superintendent in our Breskens office. Over the years, Floris has been involved in many newbuilding projects at shipyards around the world. From product tankers to offshore-support vessels, livestock carriers to bitumen tankers, Floris has provided invaluable input for almost 50 vessels.

From 2017 to 2020, Floris supported the 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 team at our Breda office, initially as Superintendent and later as Purchaser, followed by 18 months as Purchaser for 𝗩𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗕.𝗩. Since December 2021, Floris has worked as Superintendent for Iver Ships, a role in which his wealth of experience has been a positive contribution to an extensive number of ship-repair and conversion activities.

Looking back over this time, the pattern is clear: ships have become larger, projects more global, deadlines ever optimistic — but Floris has remained a common factor, still going strong!
