On 1 June, 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘆 marks an amazing milestone: 20 years with 𝗩𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗻! 🌟

Starting in Breskens as Management Assistant to the Board of Directors, Nicky has been a familiar and driving force behind many of our internal and external communications ever since. From working on our Annual Reports to keeping our website and social media up to date—and not forgetting the highly appreciated company magazine, the News Express—her dedication and energy have made a real difference across the company.

🚢 Last week, our high-heat tanker 𝗜𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 arrived in Zelzate (BE). Vroon CEO 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗷𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻 took the opportunity to visit the vessel, together with Supervisory Board member 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻, Iver Ships Managing Director 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗷𝗸 and Superintendent 𝗟𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗷𝘀.

𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝗲 𝗞𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗸 and his crew extended a warm welcome to the visitors, sharing their enthusiasm for the vessel.

Iver Ambition had arrived from Malmö, Sweden to discharge her cargo. During the visit, the vessel was heating up her cargo tanks in preparation for loading the next cargo, destined for Canada. Iver Ambition is engaged on a regular trade between Canada and North West Europe, carrying warm and hot temperature chemicals and oil products. Following several modifications in recent years, she is now a unique ship capable of carrying warm and hot temperature cargoes consecutively.

⚓ 𝕍𝕣𝕠𝕠𝕟 𝕆𝕗𝕗𝕤𝕙𝕠𝕣𝕖 𝕞𝕖𝕖𝕥𝕤 𝕀𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕊𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕤!

Last weekend, Vroon Offshore Services Managing Director 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗺 and his wife 𝗞𝗶𝗺 were warmly welcomed on board high-heat tanker 𝙄𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, during the vessel’s port call in Dundee (UK).

A change from Stuart’s daily offshore-support vessel environment, the visit offered a great opportunity to learn more about another part of the Vroon fleet.

🚢 After a one-day port call in Aberdeen for crew change and essential victualling, 𝗩𝗢𝗦 𝗩𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 was spotted last week returning to 𝗕𝗣’𝘀 jack-up rig Maersk Noble Innovator.

VOS Voyager is one of 14 IMT field-support vessels that make up part of our fleet of 29 offshore-support vessels. A Class ‘A’ emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV), equipped with two daughter craft and two fast-rescue craft, she can provide accommodation for >300 survivors. Her total crew accommodation capacity is 22 persons.

✅ Built in 2009 at the Astilleros Zamakona Shipyard in Bilbao, Spain, the vessel’s propulsion is delivered by a diesel-electric system that not only provides redundancy, but exceptional fuel consumption. With twin prop Azimuths and two electric bow tunnel thrusters, her manoeuvrability is equally impressive.

At a recent 𝗨𝗞 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 event in London, Vroon CEO 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙟𝙣 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙣 was presented with a Special Recognition Award for Vessel Safety Performance by 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙨, Chair of the UK MCA.

🎙️ After receiving the Award from Lord Stevens, Martijn said "Receiving this safety award is recognition for years of focus and discipline. Around 50% of the Vroon fleet operates in the offshore sector, with the emphasis on emergency response and rescue. Vessel safety performance is, therefore, at the Company’s core, because our number-one priority is to ensure everybody returns home safe. Our high level of safety can instil vessel crews, their families and our customers with the confidence that our teams on board are working in a safe environment. This award sends out a very clear message, that safety is paramount, and I am very proud to see Vroon Offshore Services recognised in this field."

🎉 𝗞𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 retired from 𝙑𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 (𝙑𝙊𝙎) 𝙇𝙩𝙙. in mid-March.
Keith had been with VOS Aberdeen since April 2012. He joined us as Safety Officer and DPA, subsequently being promoted to QHSE Manager in August 2022.

⚓ Keith was an integral part of our Aberdeen operations throughout the years. One of the many highlights of his time with the Company was the period of newbuilding deliveries from the Fuijan and Nanjing shipyards. 🚢 Keith played an important role in the delivery and implementation of these five F-class and four G-class offshore-support vessels. He was also a vital team member when we took our operations to Trinidad for a number of years. 🌍

🙏 We would like to thank Keith for his dedication, professionalism and hard work over the years. We wish him and his wife Nicola a very long, happy and healthy retirement. Enjoy this well-earned new chapter! 🌟
