Yesterday we were at Compagnietheater Amsterdam with Nicole Krauss in a fabulous intimate evening for the presentation of her new novel Nicole Krauss - Forest Dark.

She read a part of her new book and then it follows with a fantastic interview where you can get to know her way of thinking and how magic is all the process. There was time for some questions from the audience and I swear each answer took my breath away.

She spoke about what is fiction and reality, the story being the book, what is her writing process, rituals, next projects and so much more.

Such an amazing human being with a great speech.
Thanks to John Adams Institute and Compagnietheater Amsterdam to invite her to Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The Local Feeling completed three years of existence on 5th August.

It is time to celebrate, be grateful, laugh & make plans for the future!
Still far from "where I want to be," however, happy to just be.

It is a journey I am enjoying and just want to say thanks to the ones that stick around me, support, wonder, ask, make me grow, contribute & love.

And Amsterdam, Netherlands continue giving me the pleasure of enjoying these days and discover more and more about this marvelous city.

Visiting Van Gogh Museum is not only watching paintings, however, explore what is behind them.

There are several things you can learn, and you mostly are not even aware of it. It takes time, research and especially commitment towards something magic.

Think about it for a second:

- Age is not a problem! We can start anytime. Follow your passion now!
- A family is important! Keep in touch with parents/siblings (send them letters with updates, as Van Gogh used to do)
- Train yourself! You need to realize what you want and start invest in it! Maybe you can be your best teacher or find role-models to do it!
- Try new things! Van Gogh was not meant to be an artist at the beginning. However, curiosity and courage, made him try new things that lead him to find his passion.
- Show innovation, and that is why you will be able to change the world.

Adam Jeppesen - Out of Camp - 16 June until 27 August 2017 - Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam

Out of Camp is Adam Jeppesen’s first solo exhibition in the Netherlands.

As he says: “I was particularly interested in exploring what being alone does to you. For me, the landscapes reflect this isolated and solitary state of mind."

Jeppesen’s work is a search for spirituality, which is found in seclusion, but it also addresses the materiality and transience of the photograph as an object. The journey has left visible traces and blemishes on the pictures.

This is a collage from X-Copy I - IX, 2011 - consist of A4-sized photocopies that are stitched together and can be (dis)assembled like a jigsaw.
