Everyone goes to Byron Bay for the beach. Fair. But the hinterland is where it gets WEIRD (in the best way). 🌿 We're talking Minyon Falls hidden in the rainforest, tiny towns like Nimbin where time moves at its own pace, and farmstay dinners so good you'll question your entire city life. Less Instagram. More soul. Highly recommend both.

Porto: where the port wine is excellent, the azulejo tile is everywhere, and every narrow street leads to something that will make your jaw drop. It's like Lisbon's cooler, more artistic sibling who doesn't need the attention. 🍷🏘️ The Dom Luís Bridge at sunset hits different. Everything hits different in Porto. The wine might be part of that.

Namibia's Etosha Pan: a 4,800 sq km salt flat where you can watch rhinos, lions, zebras, and elephants come to drink at floodlit waterholes at NIGHT. It's like nature's drive-through movie theater, except the cast is incredible and occasionally terrifying. 🦏🌙 Far fewer crowds than the Serengeti. Far more dramatic. Full send.

Bora Bora gets all the Instagram fame but Moorea is sitting right next door like 'um, excuse me??' 🌺 A 30-minute ferry from Tahiti, Moorea has shark and ray feeding tours where friendly blacktip reef sharks will absolutely swim up and investigate your kneecaps. In the best way. It's cheaper, less crowded, and arguably more magical. Shhh. Don't tell everyone.

Standing at the Acropolis, which is literally 2,500 years old, while a seagull with absolutely zero respect for Western civilization tried to steal my gyro. Ancient ruins: 10/10. Greek food: also 10/10. That seagull: -10/10. 🏛️🫓 Pro tip: Climb up at sunrise. Beat the crowds. Feel like a philosopher. Become a philosopher.
