Four editions. Four continents. One partnership.

Yanmar's involvement with the America's Cup began in 2013 as Official Technical Partner to Oracle Team USA in San Francisco. It continued through Bermuda, New Zealand and Barcelona, each edition pushing further into foiling, hydrodynamics, lightweight materials and energy management.

That partnership now enters its next chapter. Yanmar has been confirmed as Official Sponsor and Official Marine Sports Sponsor of the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup, taking place in Naples in 2027.

The fit runs deeper than sponsorship. The Cup's questions, weight, efficiency, and emissions are the same questions Yanmar works on daily, from lower-emission combustion to hydrogen fuel cell and electric propulsion technology. That is Yanmar's purpose in practice: "A Sustainable Future - New Value Through Technology."

From 1 to 4 September, Yanmar will be at SMM 2026 in Hamburg, bringing together expertise from Yanmar globally and Yanmar Europe to showcase our commercial marine engines and propulsion solutions.

Across the maritime industry, the challenge is clear: reducing emissions while maintaining reliability, performance and competitive lifecycle costs.

The future of fishing vessels won't be built around a single fuel.

At Nor-Fishing 2026 in Trondheim, YANMAR Europe joined Yanmar Norway and Maritim Motor AS to discuss technologies shaping the future of vessel operations.

A key focus was Yanmar's future multifuel approach, including hydrogen, methanol and LNG. There is unlikely to be a one-size-fits-all solution for every fishing fleet. The right pathway will depend on vessel operation, region and available infrastructure.

The stand also highlighted the VC30, Yanmar's third-generation vessel control system, designed to simplify engine control and onboard monitoring through a single interface.

But ultimately, exhibitions like Nor-Fishing aren't just about what we present. They're about listening to the people who operate these vessels every day, understanding the challenges they face, and discussing what they need next.
