BIBI FINALLY SECURES INEC RECOGNITION AS THE AUTHENTIC SENATORIAL CANDIDATE FOR EDO SOUTH.

Hon. Dr. Sunny Aguebor, aka BIBI, has finally secured the recognition of INEC, the unbiased umpire who monitored the may 29th Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries election in Edo state.

With this development, INEC has demonstrated that their reservoir of readiness to conduct the 2027 general elections on the 16th of January can be trusted. Their neutrality and decision to stand on the truth, as told by Mohammed Kudu Haruna, is an incontrovertible truth.

When the leadership of the NDC led by Senator Seriake Dickson, who was very inconsistent in his speeches, made efforts consistently to change the true perception of the primaries, he forgot that INEC monitored the primaries as a major stakeholder, he though@t 2023 will be the same as 2026, he forgot that a new INEC led by Prof. Joash Amupitan is in place and has vowed to play the political game by the rule he forgot that the electoral act, which is part of a signatory as a member of the senate, is in place, he threw caution to the wind and wanted to reinvent the process just to satisfy nepotism tendencies and tribal sentiments.

INEC does not recognise nepotism or tribalism. They only recognise the spirit and letter of the electoral act and the provisions of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, which they swore to defend.

Now that the senatorial process of Edo South is a concluded matter with Hon. Dr. Sunny Aguebor, aka BIBI as the candidate, it behoves all of us to learn how to play the game of politics not as a dirty game that made responsible and reasonable people to abandon it but that all of us should continue to readjust our thinking towards making politics interesting.

We should know ours and stop fighting for what does not belong to us. Such an act reduces our personality from responsible to irresponsible and irrelevant.

I use this medium to call on all members of NDC to drop your sword, let's come together, join hands together, and deliver Hon. Sunny Aguebor in the general elections as the next senator to represent Edo South from 2027.

THE PATH TO PROGRESS IN NDC EDO SOUTH.

National leader distinguished senator Dickson Seriake, Hon. Sunny Aguebor is the way to go towards success. Let nobody decieve you.

The national chairman, distinguished senator Cleopas Zewoge, Edo North, has produced a female to run for senate in Edo against distinguished senator Adams Oshiomhole. Don't be deceived by the postulations of people who couldn't manage their household and have no immediate responsibility to cater for, who failed woefully in their last political assignment. Currently, they have no electoral value in their constituencies to leverage on.

Those who claim otherwise that another candidate can win the APC candidate, hon. Ogbeide ihama is deceiving the national leadership, Edo people are too politically sensitive to allow certain categories of representation, especially as it concerns Edo South where the Oba of Benin Kingdom resides.

As a political family, I am not against any candidate, but I am against political
deception, lies, self-interest, and blatant arrogance that defies political logic and beclouds sense of reasoning and good thinking.. let's not be deceived that with Mr Peter Obi's popularity, any candidate can win election under such myopic believe, we have passed that stage in political permutations, any candidate who must represent Edo South must have secured his popularity within the people before now. Whichever candidate that must win Edo south senatorial election must first and foremost be a product from Oredo LGA which is the same LGA with the Oba of Benin, this is a major prerequisite because any candidate outside Oredo LGA cannot win Edo South senatorial election.

Secondly, such candidate does not need to be reintroduced to the Oba of Benin, as a father, he must have not only heard of the good gestures of such a person, he must have known such candidate on a personal level over the years as a son of the soil.

While the leadership of NDC ponders over these qualities, it is note worthy that when you forcefully takes away what belongs to a legitimate owner to please another, the after effect of such a political miscarriage is weighty enough to provoke failure.

NIGERIA DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC) EDO STATE AND "IF" THE COOKIE CRUMBLES.

The late legendary musician sang a beautiful music in his lifetime. The song says , " The sky looks misty and cloudy. It seems like the rain gonna fall today."

My special thanks goes to Engr. Olukoga, who organised a seamless primaries within the shortest feasible time devoid of fighting, rancour, or any kind of casualties. Thank you, sir.

I deeply commend and praise the ingenuity of Bar Patrick Agbontaen, who laboured throughout the night of that fateful primaries, ensuring that all the figures and details were properly audited and put in place for submission,

let me commend all the contestants that participated in that historic primaries and not excluding all the returning officials and members who sacrificed their time to make sure NDC was able to beat the inec deadline for the conduct of primaries across board. Above all the efforts of our national leader representing Edo State and ensuring that the entire primaries were seamless, distinguished senator R.S. Owie KSJI JP. cannot be overemphasised or underestimated. Thank you, sir. My regards and loyalty to you are undiminished.

I come in peace to inform all of us that the evil cloud gathering across Edo state NDC may be unprecedented, primaries in a democracy is an intra-party affairs designed to test the popularity of the candidates in other for the party to know how to prepare towards the main election.

In this respect, when candidates expresses their interest, a level playing ground is required or provided for such a political party event to be monitored by external bodies ie INEC, and other interest groups to monitor the activities.

After which, the results are declared at the pooling or collation centres in the beauty and design of democracy.

When a candidate wins an election, he rises up in the spirit of magnanimity and decides a working relationship with his or her fellow contestants from there on the candidates in collaboration with the other fellow contestants alongside the party pull efforts and works together towards success.

The primaries conducted by NDC in her first public electoral contest is about to be hijacked centrifugal forces, of more worry is the activities of the fifth columnist who prides himself as the defacto returning officer to the national secretariat, and the ill- fated collusion of foreigners alien from Edo state who taken upon themselves responsibilities reserved for citizens.

I'm using this medium to request the national secretariat of NDC and especially the national leader senator Dickson Seriake, the national chairman Senator Cleopas, and the national secretary to allow the elections as conducted and the winners name sent to INEC for formal and official uploading into its portals, and allow sleeping dogs lie.

This act of patriotism by the national leadership will be instrumental to party cohesion and pure collaboration towards success in the general election coming up in 2027.

THE NIGERIA DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC) AND THE FUNDAMENTALS OF TRUST.

When the NDC came on board through a court judgment, most Nigerians saw the party as a credible alternative opposition party, especially in view of the fact that the PDP have been hijacked and partly reduced to political shambles as a result of greed on the part of some of the sit tight attitude of some of the leaders, including the unstoppable Court cases and the ceaseless manipulations from the powers that be.

Most leaders of the PDP left and formed the coalition that birthed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) but hardly had the coalition settled down to political business when internal wranglings and pursuit for power capture bedeviled the party, this resulted in different court cases rendering the once promising bride of the populace or Nigerians paralized .

This political paralysis of the ADC was responsible for the transition of Mr. Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to jettison the party alongside thousands of their supporters across the country to join the newly registered Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC)

Amongst many that joined with the duo of Mr. Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso were politicians with aspirations who taught the NDC would be a safer political ship that will be faultless, dependable, reliable, and trusted as the best alternative platform to pursue their aspirations little did they know that the NDC has no hope or prospect, but that it was designed and fraught with concealed bobby traps of greed, insecurity, tribalism, nepotism, bribery and corruption.

The exposure of these political malaise came on the front burner before and after the primaries. The self acclaimed leader of the party senator Dickson seriake who functions as the defacto leader of NDC, runs the office of the national chairman, national secretary and the major decision takers, lacked the basic education and necessities of consistency in decision making and taking, thereby making ridicule of his entire position as a leader of the party and a serving senator including the fact that he was a two tenure serving governor of Bayelsa state.

As the party begins its nose-dive to failure in the forthcoming general election, it is not worthy that a leader who is a tribal bigot can not achieve more in a democracy that is defined and predicated on the tripod of government of the people by the people and for the people.

The Edo state scenario of the NDC is the greatest surprise of the test of will by the Dickson led NDC, the primaries for Edo South primaries where I was personally a returning officer and assisted in the collation of results still beats my imagination that the candidate Hon. Sunny Aguebor (BIBI) who won convincingly and attested to by 97% of Edo South, is waiting up till as we speak for his name to be uploaded into the iNEC portal, whereas from grapevine sources Dickson is leveraging on nepotism to upturn the election in favour of another candidate, if this is his thinking, it shows how much character credibility he is banking on to make NDC a responsible trusted and reliable party.

All across the country, many candidates who won were replaced by other candidates by the Dickson led NDC, and he expects Nigerians to believe that he would not sell the general election of Mr Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to APC.

It is so unfortunate that this is happening in a new party that does not even have the financial capacity to fight the ruling party, the only thing it has is the credibility of Mr Peter Obi and some other credible politicians who has the financial muscle to support the NDC, but currently he has nepotised the system and has asked every one to go to hell.

Unfortunately Dickson has failed to look back and learned from history that PDP was the largest party in Africa, but today, it is operating in fragments, the Labour Party came up like lightning and swept the 2023 general election, but today, it is struggling to get back to fundamentals.

If Dickson continues in this goose chase, there may be no NDC in the nearest future.

SENATOR SERIAKE DICKSON AND THE CHALLENGES OF LEADERSHIP.

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) was founded by the former governor of Bayelsa state and current serving senator Seriake Dickson to function as a political party and compete favourably with existing political parties in Nigeria.

The registration was carried out following a court order issued by the federal high court in Lokoja kogi state on 5th February 2026, although some report indicates, that it has been pursuing registration since 2017 and only obtained official recognition after a lenghty legal battle with inec.

Immediately after official recognition and registration by inec, H.E. Peter Obi and Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress, their exit from the ADC led to the national exposure of NDC when Nigerians especially the Obedient movement and the kwankwasiyya movement across Nigeria joined NDC, this general acceptance of the party automatically made the NDC the largest and most acceptable opposition party in Nigeria.

The proof of Senator Seriake Dickson's leadership began not anymore as a former governor or senator representing a senatorial district in his Bayelsa state but as a national leader responsible for management of all Nigerians across the length and breath of the country.

His first national examination came through the national primaries to elect candidates that will represent the interest of the party in 2027 general elections from the state houses of assembly to the president.
The primaries today is still going through terrible times with a very concern, with many of the candidates who genuinely won the election not even sure of the ticket if they are not ijaw speaking tribes, because the party poses itself as an ijaw party.

A critical example is in Benin-City Edo state where I was a returning officer and assisted in the collating of results during the primaries, the election was formally conducted according to inec directives and the party's instructions, the elections went smoothly in almost all the eighteen LGA's that made up Edo state with results pouring in and collation officials were busy throughout the night to the early morning.

Particular reference here is the Edo South senatorial primary election where Hon. SUNNY AGUEBOR won five LGA's of Orhionmwon, Uhunmwode, Oredo, (his LGA) Ovia North East, and Ovia South West.
E.J. Agbonayinma who was sponsored by the APC as a stooge came second with a wide margin of more than one thousand votes by winning Ikpoba-Okha and Egor LGA's and Mrs Ekpelle Asemota my very good political ally came third far behind, without winning any ward or pooling unit and the records are there for reference.

As one of the major actors and characters in the just concluded primaries, I decided to speak or write on the exact happenings of that fateful day, this I owe to my future and career to sincerely thank senator Seriake Dickson and the national chairman sen. Cleopas for standing to defend the truth and not allowing nepotism or tribal sentiment as was initially canvassed to be cloud their sense of judgement.

I also heard that E.J. Agbonayinma who is currently a member of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has gone to court, I have also studied his case or reason for approaching the court, but after a careful consideration, I found out that his purpose for going to court is a self defeatist attitude and a lack of proper understanding and an attitude born out of self interest against the purpose of the NDC, he has no case, because his intention for coming to NDC was to hijack the political structure of the state.

Now that the leadership of NDC has officially recognised the true winner of the Edo South senatorial primaries and has issued him the nomination forms both that of the party and inec, I wish to encourage the leadership of NDC to continue in this spirit of nationalism against the parochial interest of some gullible politicians especially in Edo state, let us continue to collapse the foundation of nepotism and tribalism for the growth and future of NDC
