Emirates Flight Operations Update

We are pleased to inform you that Emirates flight operations have resumed today 17th March 2026. EK783 (DXB-LOS) and EK784 (LOS-DXB) flights will operate as scheduled.

The Disruption Handling Policy allows free re-booking and re-routing options for passengers traveling up to 15th April 2026 who may rebook their travel anytime up to 31st May 2026 to destinations within the same region and in any RBD within the same compartment.

Refund is applicable on unused flight coupons and cancellation charges are waived.

With just over two weeks to the enforcement date, UK authorities have warned that eligible visitors who fail to obtain an ETA before travelling risk being denied boarding on flights, trains or ferries bound for the UK.

The warning was issued in a statement posted on X by UK Visas and Immigration, an agency of the Home Office.

“From 25 February 2026, eligible visitors to the UK can’t legally travel without an Electronic Travel Authorisation,” the Home Office said.

Manson started both journeys from Princes Street in Edinburgh and finished near Oxford Street in central London. He used a stopwatch to measure the full end-to-end duration, including transfers, waiting time, and security procedures.

According to the Daily Record, the rail journey delivered a total time of 4 hours, 53 minutes, and 25 seconds. That figure came in slightly under the published estimate of five hours for the route.

The flight journey recorded a total time of 4 hours, 49 minutes, and 22 seconds. Flying, therefore, proved faster by just over four minutes, a margin that depended heavily on smooth airport processing.

Manson noted that minor delays or longer queues could easily erase that advantage. He said the result highlighted how close the two options are when measured realistically rather than by advertised travel times

Dubai-based carrier flydubai has signed an agreement with SpaceX to introduce Starlink, the world’s most advanced satellite constellation, across its growing fleet, the airline announced at Dubai Airshow 2025.

The service will deliver high-speed, low-latency broadband internet capable of supporting streaming, online gaming, video calls and more.

Once rolled out, Starlink will become the inflight connectivity provider for the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, with installation for 100 aircraft to be rolled out in 2026.

"Customers departing from any of Emirates' U.S. gateways are advised to arrive at the airport at least 4 hours prior to their scheduled flight departure due to extended security screening times," the airline stated in its passenger update.

Flight reductions are set to hit some of the country’s busiest airports, including Atlanta, Newark, Denver, Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles.

The government shutdown, which began on October 1 and is now the longest in history, has left tens of thousands of air traffic controllers, airport security staff, and others without pay.

More than 800 flights scheduled for Friday were cancelled, according to tracking website FlightAware, while major carrier American Airlines said in a statement that its scheduled reduction amounts to 220 flight cancellations each day.

It is also known as Enugu Airport and strategically located at Emene a primary industrial hub in Enugu State serving its capital and nearby cities, such as Abakaliki, Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, Afikpo, Okigwe, Nsukka, Ugep, Orlu, Idah, Otukpo and Ogoja.

The airport is named after the late Akanu Ibiam a 20th century prominent politician and distinguished medical missionary who was appointed Governor of Eastern Region, Nigeria from December 1960 until January 1966 during the Nigerian First Republic.
