Customs Intercepts Police Crests, Firearm, Detonating Cords

The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service intercepted 573 Nigeria Police Force crests, 92 yards of police camouflage uniform fabric, a pistol, six pistol magazines, a pump-action magazine and 60 detonating cords during anti-smuggling operations in August 2026.

Navy Arrests 3 Stowaways Hidden in Maersk Calabar’s Propeller Compartment

Three Nigerian boat drivers attempting to travel illegally to Europe have been intercepted and apprehended after sneaking aboard the merchant vessel MV Maersk Calabar and hiding inside its propeller compartment.

The three men, identified as 30-year-old Isaiah Oyetayo, 26-year-old Goddey Samson and 28-year-old Popoola Felix, were discovered on Monday after the Nigerian Navy received information about their presence aboard the vessel

Russia Accuses Danish Helicopters of Dangerous Manoeuvres Near Warships

Iran Expands Hormuz Blacklist to 77 Vessels

Iran’s Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) has expanded its list of “non-compliant vessels” by 21 ships, taking the total to 77 and warning that those on the list face possible fines, detention or confiscation during future passages of the Strait of Hormuz.
