In 1980 a company was importing 10,000 day old chicks weekly from UK to Nigeria for five years. They decided to partner with their UK 🇬🇧 suppliers to setup an integrated poultry farms including hatchery in Nigeria. They secured 16 Hectares of land for the project and 5 expatriate quotas to manage the project.

However the Nigerian government could not issue enough value for the import licences for the importation of the equipments to setup the project. Therefore the project was abandoned!

We can however reactivate the project if any investor or government is ready to take over the project to bring the idea to a reality that will certainly provide job opportunities to many Nigerians.

The land for the project is still available in Ibadan with proper Certificate of Occupancy specifically for the project.
