7 Habits That Raise God-Fearing Children

One day, your child will make decisions without you standing beside them.

They'll choose whether to tell the truth when no one is watching.
Whether to show kindness when it's difficult.
Whether to trust God when life doesn't make sense.

On that day, they won't simply remember what you told them.
They'll remember what you showed them.

The greatest gift we can give our children isn't a perfect life—it's a genuine example of what it looks like to walk with God.

Here are 7 habits that help raise God-fearing children:

1. Live the faith you want them to have.
Children imitate before they obey. Let them see you pray, forgive, worship, and trust God through every season.

2. Pray with them—and for them.
Don't let prayer become something they only hear in church. Let them experience it as a daily conversation with their Heavenly Father.

3. Make God's Word part of everyday conversations.
Don't reserve the Bible for Sundays. Use everyday moments to teach God's truth and help them apply it to real life.

4. Discipline with love, not anger.
Correction should shape their character, not crush their spirit. Every lesson is an opportunity to reflect God's love and wisdom.

5. Build a home where Christ is seen.
A home filled with grace, forgiveness, gratitude, and peace teaches children more than countless lectures ever could.

6. Guide their relationships wisely.
The voices they listen to today will influence the people they become tomorrow. Encourage friendships that strengthen their faith and values.

7. Trust God with the outcome.
Parent faithfully. Pray continually. Plant the seeds. God is the One who gives the increase.

No parent gets everything right.

There will be days when you feel you've failed. Days when you're exhausted. Days when you wonder if your efforts are making any difference.

Keep going.

Every prayer, every Bible story, every act of love, every correction given with grace, and every example of faith is a seed you're planting. In God's timing, those seeds can grow into a life that honors Him.

Now I'd love to hear from you...

Love is proven in difficult seasons, not during times of abundance. Give with wisdom, set healthy boundaries, and remember that respect earned through money disappears when the money does but genuine love remains forever

Keep a record of the kindness people show you, not just the moments they disappoint you.

If someone has stood by you, supported you, encouraged you, or shown up for you over the years, don't let the one time they couldn't help erase everything they've done before. No one can be available all the time.

For example, imagine a friend who has always been there whenever you needed them. Then one day, you ask for help and they say they can't because they're dealing with their own challenges. That one "no" shouldn't make you forget all the times they said "yes."

Our minds often cling to a single disappointment while overlooking countless blessings. Choose to remember the good more than the bad.

Keep a record of blessings, not grievances. A grateful heart sees what anger often hides.

🚨 PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: This holiday is about to humble a lot of us. 😂

Nobody warned me that my full-time job would become shouting:

📢 "Don't go there!"
📢 "Come back here!"
📢 "Sit down!"
📢 "Leave that alone!"
📢 "Who did this?!"

At this point, I'm not even calling names anymore—I just announce instructions to the whole house. 😭😂

To everyone spending this holiday with energetic kids, I see you. May God give us patience, strength... and a voice that survives until school resumes. 🤣🙌

If this sounds like your house too, drop a 😂 in the comments. Let's know we're not suffering alone!

My heart is so full today. 🎓

Watching my baby professor, Prevail, celebrate his very first graduation is a moment I will treasure forever. It may seem like a small step to some, but to me, it is the beginning of a beautiful journey filled with endless possibilities.

I'm posting these precious pictures today as a reminder and a declaration of faith. By the grace of God, when the day comes for your university graduation, my beloved son, I will be there to celebrate with you. I will not be absent, and together we will rejoice over all that God has done.

My dear son, may the Lord continue to guide your steps, grant you wisdom, protect you, and lift you from glory to glory. You will soar like the eagle, fulfill your God-given purpose, and make a positive impact wherever you go. You will never know failure or shame. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Congratulations, my precious Prevail, on your first graduation! This is only the beginning. I believe with all my heart that greater achievements, greater celebrations, and greater testimonies await you. Daddy/Mummy loves you beyond words, and I will always be your biggest cheerleader.
