Impact in agriculture is not measured by the quantity of inputs distributed ,but by the transformation recorded at harvest.

At Royal Blue Contractors Nigeria Limited, our approach has always gone beyond supply. Over the years, working side-by-side with farmers has become our operational standard.

Because quality seed without knowledge of spacing…
Fertilizer without soil understanding…
Crop protection without proper guidance…
Will not deliver sustainable results.
Through structured field trainings across multiple projects, we equip farmers with Good Agronomic Practices (GAP) — from nursery management to transplanting, crop care, and harvest optimization.

We build capacity.
We strengthen systems.
We bridge knowledge gaps.
The result? Improved productivity, better returns, and more resilient farming communities.
For partners seeking sustainable agricultural interventions;the question is:
Are your farmers truly empowered, or simply supplied?

Let’s build impact that lasts beyond one season.

Friday, 20th February, under the UNESCO BEAR III Programme, in collaboration with Audu Bako College of Agriculture, Dambatta, stakeholders gathered for the Industry Partnership MoU Signing Ceremony — a strategic step toward reshaping agricultural education from the learning phase to real industry relevance.

The event featured:

• An overview of the UNESCO BEAR III project

• A technical brief on the Work-Based Learning (WBL) implementation framework

• Remarks from collaborative partners

• An address by the Provost

• The formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding

A major highlight was the discussion on certification systems — moving beyond purely institutional delivery and degree-based recognition toward skill-focused assessment, structured monitoring, and industry-driven certification.

Industries were encouraged to participate actively, with clear benefits including:

✔ Recognition

✔ Tax incentives

✔ Wage support

✔ A stronger, work-ready talent pipeline

Agriculture has taken a new horrizon. Yet many students in the field struggle to measure up due to abscence of structured work based learning and certification systems that prioritize paper based qualification.

The critical questions remain:

Are we ready to infuse skill-based competence in degree-based validation to

Can agricultural transformation truly happen without aligning education with real industry demands?

The future of agriculture depends on how boldly we answer these questions.
