PUBLIC NOTICE
TEMPORARY REDUCTION IN PASSENGER CAPACITY
Dear Esteemed Commuters,
In response to the current diphtheria outbreak and related public health concerns in parts of Plateau State, the Management of Plateau Express Services Group has directed a temporary reduction in passenger capacity across Tin City Metro bus services.
This precautionary measure takes effect immediately and will remain in place until further notice.
As part of this temporary arrangement, standing passengers will be limited to a maximum of 15 persons per bus. Once this limit is reached, no additional standing passengers will be permitted to board.
As a public transportation service connecting communities across the Jos metropolis, Tin City Metro recognises its responsibility to promote the safety and wellbeing of the thousands of commuters who rely on our services daily. We are therefore taking this proactive step to support safer commuting during this period.
We kindly appeal to all passengers to cooperate fully with our drivers, conductors and other officials in observing the temporary passenger-capacity limits.
We recognise that this adjustment may result in longer waiting times and require additional patience from commuters. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation, as the health, safety and wellbeing of our passengers, staff and the wider community remain our priority.
Tin City Metro will continue to monitor developments and review this measure in line with relevant public health guidance and directives.
We thank you for your understanding, cooperation and continued trust in Tin City Metro.
Signed:
Management
