Hello there,

We just want to quickly clear up a small misunderstanding that came to our attention.

Recently, someone mentioned they were unsure about booking with us because of the account name showing differently on their bank app while trying to make payment to our Moniepoint Account.

We understand how that can raise concerns, and we truly appreciate people who take time to verify before making payments.

Here’s the clarification;

Train Express is a fully registered business (Ayibaebi Train Express Limited), incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

We have been in operation since 2023, serving thousands of passengers with transparency, consistency, and integrity.

Regarding payments;

We use both traditional bank accounts and a fintech platforms ( Moniepoint) to make transactions faster and easier for our passengers.

Sometimes, due to banking system differences;

Some banks display “Train Express”

Others may display the registered account holder’s name

This is completely normal with fintech systems, especially where certain configurations or KYC updates are involved. It does not mean the business is not legitimate.

For clarity;

Our Wema Bank account name is Ayibaebi Train Express Limited

Our Moniepoint account is Train Express.

We usually provide payment guidance to ensure you can confirm before sending money, and we are always available to assist if you are unsure.

Most importantly it is worthy of note that ;

1. We have never had issues with missing funds.
2. We operate with clear terms and accountability
3. We remain committed to safe and reliable service

We will also be attaching our CAC registration details for full transparency and as a passenger you have the right to seek clarity at all times before making any payment to our accounts.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL TRAIN EXPRESS PASSENGERS

This message is for everyone who currently patronises Train Express and those who intend to book with us in the future.

Please be informed of our Refund Policy:

We do NOT issue refunds to individuals who did not directly make the payment for the ticket.

For example, If someone books and pays for a ticket on your behalf (e.g., for a trip to Abuja) and later you decide not to travel, you cannot request a refund from us directly.

When a booking is made;

The passenger’s details and phone number are submitted.

The travel information and ticket are sent directly to the passenger.

The person who made the payment is copied in the communication.

If a refund is requested, it will only be processed back to the original payer, and it will be handled strictly according to our refund policy.

Under no circumstances will refunds be made to the passenger if they did not make the payment themselves.

We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.Thank you for choosing Train Express.

Dear Esteemed Passengers,

Please note:

The train now runs only one trip per day. It does not go and return the same day.

For example, if the train leaves Warri at 8:00am today, it will sleep over at Itakpe and return the next day by 12 noon.

Our departure time from Abuja is now 6:00am//Fatima Plaza Wuye

You can travel from Yenagoa, Warri, Asaba, Agbor, and Benin to Abuja on: Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

You can travel from Abuja to Yenagoa, Warri, Asaba, Agbor, and Benin on: Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays.

There is no train on Thursdays due to maintenance.

Please check your travel date carefully with a calendar before booking.

Good Day Dear Passengers,

We hope this January has been a wonderful one for you, and that you are all doing well.

We sincerely apologize for the delay in the resumption of our train services. We have truly missed you all and appreciate your patience during this period.

We are pleased to inform you that train operations will resume on Wednesday, 28th January 2026.
• The train will depart Ujevwu Station by 8:00am and arrive at Itakpe Station.

On Thursday, 29th January 2026:
• The train will depart Itakpe Station by 12:00pm back to Ujevwu Station, and services will continue as scheduled thereafter.

Train Express platform is already open. So you can start your bookings

We wish to inform our valued passengers that Train Express services are temporarily suspended due to a technical fault the Train developed on the 2nd of January,2026shortly after operations resumed on 25th December,2025. Repairs are currently ongoing.

ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL TRAIN EXPRESS PASSENGERS

Compliments of the season.

We wish to inform our esteemed passengers that train services will resume on Thursday, 25th December 2025, with a 50% discounted fare during the festive period.
Please note that this discount applies to the cost of the train ticket only and does not cover Executive Shuttle fares.

Kindly be informed that, on a temporary basis, the train will depart Itakpe Station at 12:00 noon to Ujevwu Station, and will depart Ujevwu Station the following day at 8:00 a.m. to Itakpe Station.

For now, the train will originate alternately every other day from either Itakpe or Ujevwu, until all operational impediments are fully resolved.

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has implemented this temporary measure to ensure that our esteemed passengers can access train services as soon as possible.
