A new chapter is a fresh page, but this year, I’m tired of just staring.

If you asked what I desire most, it isn’t wealth or status. It’s the freedom to move through the world and actually connect with it. To see the wonders of the world and to brilliantly articulate the ideas they build up in my mind.

For a long time, I rated my communication a "5/10." I was getting by with global clients, both in-person and screen-to-screen, but "getting by" is a slow poison for big dreams.

I was scrolling sometime one afternoon, subconsciously asking questions about how to start or where to start, Then, the algorithm handed me an answer. A Vietnamese guy in glasses talking about the laziest way to become a top 1% communicator. It sounded like clickbait, but after one video, I said to myself. HE IS HIM.

I want to be a good communicator and storyteller and After exploring his world, I realized I found the missing piece of my puzzle.
This year isn't about talking more. It’s about being intentional And the journey from 5 to10 starts now.

The "Japa" dream is real, but it’s NOT all sunshine and rainbows. Let’s talk about why you might want to think twice before making that leap.

Well, fast forward, and you’ll find that life abroad isn’t as glamorous as Auntie Efe makes it seem. Some of you want to travel abroad, but the way you’re stressing yourself ehnn 😅… it’s like you’re planning a prison break, not a vacation.

Just imagine you juggling Google flights, embassy websites, and ten different travel blogs. Meanwhile, your boss is already asking if you’ll still finish that report before your "stress-cation". At the end, you’ve booked the wrong ticket, your visa form has errors, and your blood pressure is doing up Gbim Gbim.

Here’s the truth: traveling is supposed to excite you, not give you hypertension. The secret is outsourcing what you don’t fully understand. Airlines change rules faster than Nigeria changes ministers, and visa applications are not “just form-filling.” One mistake can delay or deny your dream trip.

That’s where I come in. Here’s the truth airlines don’t post on Instagram: flight prices work like Nigerian mood swings. The closer you are to the date, the higher the stress. Why? 🤷‍♂️ Because demand rises, seats reduce, and the system rewards early planners while punishing “I’ll book later” crew.

Now, I’ve seen this play out hundreds of times while helping clients with travel plans. Those who booked early smiled at their savings; those who delayed? Let’s just say their accounts needed special deliverance.

So, my people, plan ahead, secure your seat, save your coins. Don’t let airline algorithms use your procrastination as breakfast.

Some of you think your village people followed you to the embassy, But truth is, na your mistakes dey chase you!”

Oya you too see, Chidi spends weeks rehearsing embassy questions like he’s preparing for Big Brother auditions. He dresses sharp, greets the visa officer with confidence… then hands over a form filled with errors bigger than Nollywood plot holes. Guess what? DENIED. Not because of juju, but because of oversight.

Here’s the truth:
70% of visa denials are caused by simple but costly mistakes. Incomplete forms, inconsistent travel history, weak financial proof, or even oversharing irrelevant details. The embassy isn’t trying to “block your destiny”; they’re simply following rules you ignored.

As someone who has guided countless Nigerians through successful visa applications, I can tell you this: luck doesn’t decide, preparation does.

Did you know that over 17million Nigerians which is approximately 8.5% of the total population, have migrated and are now living outside the country as at 2023, and 45.9% have been denied visa to the Schengen area alone in 2024.

Who am I, and how did I get this information?

My name is JOSIAH, I'm a certified global higher education Professional and immigration consultant. I educate and assist Africans most especially Nigerians on the process of traveling abroad.

You see, after years of consultation and research, it will shock you to know that over 50% of Nigerians know little or nothing about immigration or traveling abroad which directly or indirectly contributed to the 45.9% rejection rate from the Schengen area alone...
