A Man invited a Woman for a first time Date and both became Surprised to Find out that their kids resemble each other like identical twins.
Ema, a woman in her late thirties, hurried into a restaurant for her blind date with Derak a man in his early forties.
Ema and Derak both met online, on Facebook and decided to go on an old-school blind date.
Ema wore a short wig and Derak wore a paper hat.
In the restaurant, Ema spotted Derak in a corner, their eyes locking as she approached.
"Hello Ema!" Derak greeted her, rising from his chair.
Their initial exchange was warm and comforting, and Ema was thrilled to have met him finally. They joked about Ema's wig and settled into easy conversation, feeling a natural connection.
Eventually, their conversation drifted to their sons, and Derak showed Ema a photo of his son with an abstract painting. Ema was shocked; the boy resembled her son Brandy.
"Is this some kind of joke?" Ema asked, confused.
Derak pulled back his phone. "What do you mean? My son likes to paint, and he's very good at it, too."
"But… I don't understand. You never mentioned it, but did you also adopt your child?" Ema asked.
"I didn't." Derak frowned. "You're saying some very strange things, Ema. Is everything okay?"
Ema grabbed her phone and showed Derak a photo of Brandy in his soccer uniform.
Both adults were now perplexed.
"Our boys are mirror images of each other, like long-lost twins! But how can that be possible?" Ema said, shocked. "Wait, my son's 14 years old, and yours?"
"He's 14 years old. When's your son's birthday?" Derak asked.
"April 16," Ema answered.
"Same as Jordan," Derak said, deep in thought. "It can't be... she never mentioned twins."
"Do you know something about this, Derak?" Ema questioned, sensing his distress.
"No, but my ex-wife might. She's the only one who would know if we had twins. I'm sorry, but I have to go," Derak explained, hurriedly leaving to find answers.
Left alone, Ema reflected on Brandy's adoption, which was handled by her late husband, Jacob. She wondered if Jacob knew about a twin.
Jacob had gotten the call that a baby was available for them to adopt shortly before Ema was released from the center where she'd been recovering from knee surgery.
When Ema finally arrived home, she was greeted at the door by Jacob and a baby boy swaddled in a dinosaur blanket. Her husband had been grinning from ear to ear, and the baby in his arms was the most beautiful human being she'd ever seen in her life.
At home, Ema greeted Brandy, who noticed her unease.
"What's wrong, Mom? Did that Derak guy do something to hurt you? If he did—"
"Everything's fine, honey," she replied, forcing a smile, and hurried to her bedroom.
