There are hotels that appear in films. And then there is the Park Hyatt Tokyo, a hotel that became the film.

Sofia Coppola’s Lost in Translation used every corner of it. The New York Bar on the 52nd floor where strangers become something more. The Diplomat Suite where Charlotte curls up on the windowsill and watches a city she doesn’t yet understand. The pool, the bamboo bar, the floor-to-ceiling windows and Tokyo glittering below.

The hotel has just reopened after a major renovation, faithful to its original quiet elegance. The suite is still there. The jazz is still playing. The view is still extraordinary.

This is the first post in a new series, Check in to the Movies, where I’ll be sharing the world’s most iconic film hotels, one at a time. All bookable. All extraordinary.

DM me to plan your Tokyo stay. 🖤

There are cities you visit and cities that visit you back. Sarajevo is the second kind.

Four religions sharing one skyline. Ottoman bazaars around the corner from Austro-Hungarian grand cafes. The warmest hospitality in Europe, in a city that has every reason to be guarded and chooses instead to be generous.

The food alone is worth the flight. Cevapi at Zeljo. Baklava at Asdah. Bosnian coffee in a copper džezva in a courtyard somewhere, with no particular plan and nowhere to be.

This is one of Europe’s great undiscovered city breaks. And right now, before everyone else catches on, is exactly the time to go.

DM me and let’s plan your Sarajevo weekend.

I wasn’t looking for a new obsession and then I found the Bank Hotel, Stockholm.

A 1910 building transformed into one of the most quietly glamorous hotels I have come across in a long time. The gorgeous bar alone is worth the flight. The rooftop terrace with views over the city’s copper domes, unforgettable. The freestanding bath overlooking the Stockholm skyline, just lovely.

This is the kind of hotel that doesn’t just give you a place to stay. It gives you a reason to go.
If Stockholm has been on your list, this is your sign. DM me and let’s plan it properly.

“You expected to be sad in the fall. Part of you died each year when the leaves fell from the trees and their branches were bare against the wind and the cold, wintry light. But you knew there would always be the spring.” - Ernest Hemingway

This week, our Moveable Stay arrives in Pamplona, the city that seized Hemingway’s imagination and never let it go.

He first came in 1923, drawn by the wildness of San Fermín, the ritual of the bullring, the way life here felt more vivid and more urgent than anywhere else. What he witnessed became The Sun Also Rises and Pamplona became forever his.

But you don’t need to arrive in July to feel it. The Plaza del Castillo glows year round. Café Iruña still pours a perfect vermut. And the old stones of the city still carry that particular energy defiant, joyful, fully alive.

Let me plan your Pamplona chapter. From a room at the legendary La Perla to pintxos in the old town at dusk, I’ll take care of every detail.

The city nobody talks about… is exactly the one you need to visit.

Bucharest has been quietly perfecting the art of the weekend break with grand architecture, candlelit restaurants hidden in secret courtyards, and boutique hotels that would cost three times as much anywhere else in Europe.

This is the kind of place I love finding for my clients. Under the radar. Utterly unforgettable.

DM me and let’s plan your escape.

Kraków is the perfect weekend escape.

Think stunning medieval streets, a beautiful Old Town, cosy cafés, incredible food, rich history, buzzing nightlife, and some of the most charming views in Europe.

Spend your days exploring castles, market squares, and hidden alleyways, then your evenings enjoying cocktails, pierogi, and the city’s amazing atmosphere. Affordable, walkable, and unforgettable, Kraków is the kind of place that makes a weekend feel like a real adventure.

Set in the Asturian countryside, Solo Palacio is a carefully restored palace where architecture, landscape, and pace are given equal importance.

Original stone walls, exposed beams, and pared-back interiors create a sense of quiet continuity rather than contrast. Nothing feels added for effect; everything feels considered.

Surrounded by pastureland, forest, and Atlantic air, the hotel reflects the character of Asturias itself green, restrained, and deeply rooted.

A place defined less by what it offers, and more by what it removes.
