Your carton takes five steps. You only ever see the finished result.

1. Board — flute, paper grade and grammage are settled here. Wrong at this
step and nothing later fixes it.
2. Printing — branding, product information and handling marks.
3. Creasing and slotting — decides whether the carton folds square.
4. Finishing — pinned or glued depending on design and load. A
weak joint is the first point of failure.
5. Bundling — flat and banded in quantities of 5, 10 or 20 for easier
counting.
