We are pleased to share that Asian Overland Services Tours & Travel participated in the KITF – Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair 2026, followed by a sales mission across Almaty, Astana, Tashkent, and Samarkand. Led by Tourism Malaysia Almaty, the week focused on presence, engagement, and strengthening market momentum.

The CIS region and Russian-speaking market are not new to us. It is a segment we have worked in before, and we are now re-engaging with renewed focus and intent.

What some view as “limited market segments,” we see as opportunities. With borderless operations and a globally connected AOS team, we are ready to unlock their full potential.

Continuing our global engagement, AOS had productive meetings at Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami recently. Our Managing Director, Ms. Yap Sook Ling, attended alongside the Asia Cruise Services Network (ACSN) — a trusted network of cruise-handling experts and DMCs across the region, where AOS represents Malaysia.

In line with Visit Malaysia Year 2026, Tourism Malaysia is driving strong growth in cruise arrivals. The expansion of the RM50 million Charter Flight Matching Grant (GSPC) to the cruise sector is another strong step in strengthening Malaysia’s cruise segment.

Beyond shore excursions, our expertise includes bespoke programs, overland journeys, pre- and post-cruise arrangements, turnaround services, as well as niche and special interest experiences. We look forward to continued collaboration with our global partners to position Malaysia as leading cruise destination.

Meet us again at Seatrade Cruise Asia!

National Museum of Malaysia (Muzium Negara)

Located along Jalan Damansara in Kuala Lumpur, the National Museum is one of Malaysia’s most important cultural landmarks. Situated near the beautiful Perdana Lake Gardens, the museum offers visitors a fascinating journey through the nation’s rich history and diverse culture.

The museum’s architecture blends traditional Malay design with modern elements, creating a unique and iconic façade. Officially opened on 31 August 1963, it serves as a key repository preserving Malaysia’s cultural and historical heritage.

This impressive three-storey building houses four main galleries dedicated to ethnology and natural history. Inside, visitors can explore engaging displays ranging from life-sized scenes of cultural celebrations—such as weddings and festivals—to collections of traditional weapons, musical instruments, arts and crafts, ceramics, as well as exhibits on Malaysia’s flora and fauna.

A must-visit destination for anyone wanting to discover the story and spirit of Malaysia!
