泼水节：4月中旬，缅历1月底2月初，一般持续4天，第5天为缅历新年首日。
浴榕节：4月下旬，缅历2月月圆日举行。将菩提树（榕树）视为佛的化身。在最炎热干旱季节给榕树淋水，有希望佛教弘扬光大之意。
劳动节：5月1日
烈士日：7月19日
敬老节：10月，缅历7月。传说众僧侣在雨季守戒3个月后跪请佛祖训示。后人效法，在此期间举行敬老活动。
献袈裟节：10月中下旬至11月中下旬缅历7月月圆至8月月圆期间，善男信女要向僧侣敬献袈裟。在8月月圆日点灯迎神，举办各种娱乐活动，此日又称“光明节”。
点灯节：10月，缅历7月月圆日。传说佛祖在雨季时到天庭守戒诵经3个月，到缅历7月月圆日重返人间，凡间张灯彩迎佛祖归来。
作家节：12月上旬，缅历9月1日。古时举行拜神活动，从公元1782年起演化成敬拜和奖励“像神一样崇高的”大作家们。1944年缅甸作协正式确定为“作家节”。

最佳旅游时间
缅甸属热带季风性气候，年平均气温27℃。一年可分为凉、干、雨三季，最适宜旅游的是凉季，即每年10月至次年2月间，这时天气晴朗、阳光充足，也是旅游的旺季。
从2月中旬开始，天气越来越热，开始进入干季，3－5月气温最高，月平均气温在30℃以上，甚至到达40℃。
每年6月后进入雨季，7、8月常有瓢泼大雨，一直到10月中旬雨季结束。
穿衣指南
位于热带的仰光常年高温，出行只需要带上夏装即可。但是如果需要坐夜车大巴、火车等交通工具，十分有必要带上长衣长裤，乃至稍厚的外套，因为这些夜车往往把冷气开到最大，会让人感觉很冷。
