Beautiful Seri Negara building has since opened to visitors since Dec 2025. Completed back in 1913 as the lodge for the British High Commissioner of Federated Malay States, the walls have seen many historical moments for our nation.

Key moments include the signing of the 1957 Independence Agreement by the Malay rulers of Malaya then.

Besides this, the building was also featured in varioua movies. The most recent being Crazy Rich Asians as the backdrop where cars drove up for the big party.

It is open to visitors from 10am-6pm daily. Galleries on the 1st floor can only be accessed during the 1 hour guided tour which is still free now. Sign up on serinegara.com.my

The Bangunan Abdul Samad building is now home to several notable galleries within its vast structures.

On the ground floor, Royal Selangor Pewter has opened their Gallery, School of Hard Knocks and Cafe. The gallery provides an overview of how tin built Kuala Lumpur and showcases several important pewter items kept by Royal Selangor Pewter.

Whereas the 1st floor is home to 4 other galleries. The bigger ones will be Confluence Hall (Balai Pertemuan) which tells the history of Kuala Lumpur and Visionary Hall (Balai Gagasan) where the huge miniature of KL city is showcased alongside the many iconic buildings we now have.

Open daily from 9am to 6pm. Entrance is free for month of February 2026. Charges may start from March 2026 onwards

The Royal Press located along busy Jonker Street in Melaka stands out from all the colorful busy shops here.

Being preserved by the family as one of the oldest polyglot letterpress museum in the world, one can escape the hustle and bustle of Melaka center and learn more about this dying craft.

What is more amazing is walking through the insides of the old shop house to admire the airwells and beautiful ornate wall decorations.

The Royal Press is open daily 10am-6pm except Mondays and Tuesdays. Entrance is free, but one can support their efforts with purchases in their in-house shop.

Pasar Borneo Seri Kembangan is a weekly market every Saturday from 7am-11am. This market started back in 2016 and has grown since as more and more Borneo folks flock to KL to work.

Great for our Borneo friends to stock up on fresh produce that are not commonly found in the Peninsular markets. This include buah tarap, terung dayak, various edible ferns, sago worm, river fishes and many more.

There are also stalls selling cooked food, especially the famous mee kolo, kueh lapis sarawak, penyaram etc. Not forgetting the colourful accessories worn by our Borneo friends.

The weekly market also serves as a community meeting point for the Borneo folks to catch up on news and keep their local dialect alive especially for their younger children.

Do check it out as it is within driving distance from KL city center and Klang Valley neighborhood.

Stadium Merdeka has reopened its glorious doors again after many years of closure to restoration works.

This is the place where Malaysia Independence was proclaimed to a jubilant crowd of 20,000 pax.

This is also home to several great outdoor concerts such as Michael Jackson World Tour in 1996. And many older Malaysians will remember the countless football matches and historic boxing match between Muhammad Ali vs Joe Bugner in 1975.

Looking forward to more public events to bring back our fellow Malaysians within the same grounds.
