HALAL EXECUTIVE - VACANCY

Job Description

Ensure compliance with halal standards and regulations in all aspects of the business operations.

Develop and implement halal policies and procedures to ensure adherence to halal requirements.

Conduct regular audits and inspections of production facilities, supply chains, and processes to ensure halal certification standards are met.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, procurement, and marketing teams, to ensure halal compliance throughout the organization.

Stay up-to-date with changes in halal regulations and industry practices to provide guidance and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Liaise with relevant certification bodies, government agencies, and industry associations to obtain and maintain necessary halal certifications.

Provide training and guidance to employees on halal requirements, practices, and procedures.

Investigate any non-compliance issues related to halal standards and implement corrective actions as needed.

Prepare reports on halal compliance status, including documentation of processes followed and certificates obtained.
To perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management and QA departments.

Job Requirement

Diploma or Degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Food Biotechnology or equivalent.

At least 3 years working experiences in food manufacturing industry.

Possess Halal Executive certificate issued by recognized Halal Training Provider by JAKIM.

Strong food knowledge with hands-on experience in food manufacturing operations particularly in back-of-house functions including halal requirements, food planning, food preparation, food hygiene, and food safety.

Connected to industry trends and equipped with good understanding of industry standards including ISO, GMP, HACCP, HALAL, etc.
