He said Brunei and Turkey were among the countries that would be involved in the cooperation as both of them had a close links with the history and culture of Johor.
“We will also invite these countries for the Visit Johor Year events next year,” he told reporters after officiating the state-level Gotong-Royong Mega Perangi Aedes 2019 programme at Taman Suria Ros, Ayer Hitam, near here today.
Mohd Khuzzan said the state government, through the state Health Department, would focus on maintaining the cleanliness of housing areas built in the 70s and 80s that were likely to be the breeding grounds for the Aedes mosquito.
He said the initiative was part of the state government’s efforts to make Johor a ‘Zero Aedes’ state in the future.
BATU PAHAT: As part of its preparation for the Visit Johor Year 2020, the Johor government, through its Johor Heritage Foundation (YWJ), will forge cooperation with countries that have connections with the history of the state.
