Just a couple of hours ago, Malaysian time, 14 August 2026, Raya Airways successfully touched down in Malé, Maldives (MLE), marking the launch of our new Penang (PEN)–Malé (MLE) all-cargo service.

Our B767F freighter received a water salute to celebrate the new connection. And yes…it was already raining. But apparently, Malé decided one great water salute wasn't enough!

This is just the beginning of a bigger regional expansion for Raya Airways, with new connections and greater possibilities ahead.

In 2025, we expanded our China network by increasing our Kuala Lumpur–Zhengzhou frequencies from three to six weekly flights, while introducing new cargo services to Shenzhen and Nanjing. Supported by the addition of Boeing 767 freighters and the dedication of our teams across the business, this expansion strengthened regional trade and reinforced our role in connecting ASEAN and China.
